Snell (1-0) earned the win versus San Francisco on Saturday, tossing five innings and allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out six.

Snell didn't have great command of the strike zone Saturday -- he threw only 52 of 91 pitches for strikes and walked a trio of batters -- but the left-hander wiggled out of a pair of bases-loaded situations and ended up in the win column for the first time since joining San Diego. He has yet to pitch six innings this season, limiting his value in fantasy leagues that count quality starts, but has been moderately effective with a 3.51 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 37:18 K:BB across 25.2 innings. He's tentatively lined up to face the same Giants squad next weekend, this time in San Francisco.

DeSclafani (2-1) took the loss against San Diego on Saturday, hurling six innings and allowing three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out three.

DeSclafani took his first loss of the season in the contest, but he still managed to earn his fourth quality start. After being burned by a Manny Machado three-run homer in the first inning, DeSclafani went unscored upon over the following five frames while retiring the final six batters he faced. DeSclafani, who had an ugly 7.22 ERA across 33.2 innings last season, has been among the league's most effective starting pitchers in 2021, compiling a 2.00 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 33:9 K:BB over 36 frames. He's projected to match up with the Padres again during next weekend's series in San Francisco.

Gomber (2-3) allowed four runs (two earned) on five hits and one walk while striking out four across six innings, earning the win against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Gomber bounced back from a brutal appearance Monday. He allowed a solo home run to Andrew Young in the sixth inning Saturday, but the 27-year-old was effective otherwise and lowered his ERA to 5.90 through 29 innings. However, if you take away his previous outing, his ERA is only 3.32 in 27.1 innings. His next start is scheduled for Friday in St. Louis.

Gallen (1-1) allowed four earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven across four innings, taking the loss against the Rockies on Saturday.

Gallen struggled Saturday in what was his worst start so far this season. He didn't allow any home runs and struck out seven, but he was unable to make it past four innings after surrendering four runs. His ERA is still at 3.48 in 20.2 innings through four starts.

Burnes (undisclosed) won't start Sunday's series finale against the Dodgers, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

The 26-year-old landed on the injured list without an official designation Thursday, so it's believed his absence is related to the COVID-19 protocols. Burnes will need to clear all phases of said protocols before rejoining the team, and that won't be happening Sunday. It's unclear if the right-hander will be able to rejoin the rotation next week or if he'll face a longer absence. Alec Bettinger will make his major-league debut and start Sunday for Milwaukee.

May (arm) will be placed on the injured list Sunday and undergo an MRI once the team arrives in Chicago on Monday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Manager Dave Roberts said the right-hander felt a "shooting sensation" down his arm before being removed during the second inning of Saturday's loss to the Brewers, and there appears to be potential for a serious injury. May will miss at least one start while on the injured list, but the specifics of the injury won't be known until Monday, when he actually undergoes the MRI.

Woodruff allowed two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out six over six innings in Saturday's win over the Dodgers. He didn't factor into the decision.

The righty was sharp Saturday with his only mistakes being a homer by Mookie Betts in the first and a Corey Seager triple in the third to knock in Betts. The 28-year-old threw 65 of his 91 pitches for strikes and now has a 1.80 ERA. Woodruff also has a 40:9 K:BB through 35 frames.

Morton allowed four earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six across 5.1 innings in the loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday. He did not factor in the decision.

Morton allowed a two-run home run to George Springer in the third inning. He also ran himself into trouble in the sixth inning after hitting Vladimir Guerrero and walking Teoscar Hernandez with no outs. However, the 37-year-old has consistently provided strikeouts, totaling 39 in 33.2 innings this season.

May was removed from Saturday's start against the Brewers with a right arm injury, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

May was lifted during the second inning Saturday when he was wincing in pain after throwing a pitch, and the Dodgers have now confirmed he's dealing with an arm issue. The young right-hander's outlook remains up in the air while he continues to be evaluated, and a more specific diagnosis is expected from the team in the near future.

May left his start Saturday against the Brewers with an apparent injury, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.

May winced in pain after throwing a pitch in the second inning and signaled to the dugout. He walked off the field with team trainers. The nature and severity of the injury should become clearer following further tests.
