Musgrove (2-4) was tagged with the loss Saturday against the Giants after giving up four runs on eight hits while fanning seven across five innings.

Musgrove has been roughed up by the Giants in each of his last two starts, allowing a combined 10 runs (nine earned) on 12 hits and two walks while fanning 13 in that stretch. The right-hander got off to an impressive start to the campaign by allowing just one earned run over his first 19 innings of work, but he has been struggling of late and will try to end his woes in his next start. He's scheduled to take the ball next week at home against the Cardinals.

Gausman (3-0) gave up one run on three hits and a walk while fanning seven across six innings in Saturday's win over the Padres. He earned the win.

Gausman improved to 3-0 while recording his fifth quality start of the season, and he has given up more than one earned run just once in the current campaign. The right-hander now owns a 1.97 ERA with a 47:12 K:BB across 45.2 innings in 2021, and he will try to keep this sizzling run going in his next start. He's expected to take the ball next week against the Pirates on the road.

Anderson went six innings Saturday and registered a no-decision, allowing three runs, six hits and three walks with seven strikeouts in an 8-7 win. He was not part of the decision.

Anderson settled down after allowing three runs in the game's first two innings to pitch a quality game for Atlanta. It was a nice rebound from his last start, where he allowed four runs in four innings.

Castillo (1-4) took the loss Saturday, coughing up six runs (four earned) on five hits and two walks over four innings as the Reds fell 9-2 to Cleveland. He struck out two.

The right-hander threw 57 of 84 pitches before getting the hook, as Castillo failed to last six innings for the fifth straight start. His ERA now stands at 6.42 -- exactly double last year's mark -- and he'll take a disappointing 26:10 K:BB through 33.2 innings into his next outing.

Manager Luis Rojas confirmed deGrom (lat) will start Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks, Steve Gelbs of SportsNet New York reports.

The 32-year-old was the expected starter after being scratched from his previously scheduled outing with right lat inflammation, and the Mets have now officially confirmed him as the pitcher for Sunday. DeGrom will look to pick up where he left off with a 0.51 ERA, 0.57 WHIP and 59:4 K:BB over 35 innings through five starts this season.

Houser (3-3) picked up the win Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits over six innings in a 6-2 victory over the Marlins. He struck out 10 without walking a batter.

The right-hander not only took care of business on the mound, throwing 62 of 94 pitches for strikes in his second straight quality start, he also aided his own cause at the plate with a solo shot off Daniel Castano in the fourth inning. Houser will take a 3.44 ERA and 31:11 K:BB through 36.2 innings into his next outing.

Williams gave up two runs on five hits and two walks over four innings during Saturday's 3-2 win over the Pirates. He had six strikeouts and didn't factor in the decision.

The right-hander surrendered a two-run homer to Ka'ai Tom during the fourth inning, but he otherwise kept Pittsburgh off the board. The Cubs didn't score the game-deciding run until the seventh inning, so he wouldn't have earned the victory even if he lasted the five frames necessary to earn a win. Williams has a 5.81 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 35:16 K:BB across 31 innings this season.

Manager Jayce Tingler said Paddack (undisclosed) could return from the injured list to start Sunday at San Francisco, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

The 25-year-old was placed on the injured list April 30 without an injury designation, so it's probable he's been going through the league's COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Paddack has been out for just over a week, and it's unclear if he will face any limitations if cleared to start Sunday's series finale.

Martinez was pitching through pain Saturday against the Rockies after twisting his ankle the day before, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Martinez reportedly suffered the injury while celebrating a homer by fellow pitcher Jack Flaherty. He wasn't at this best Saturday, giving up five runs in five frames, though that was still good enough for a win. Given that he got through Saturday's start, he's seemingly at minimal risk of missing his next outing, which lines up for next Friday against the Padres.

Martinez (3-4) earned the win Saturday against the Rockies after giving up five runs on six hits with five walks and two strikeouts over five innings.

The right-hander generated only four swinging strikes on 97 pitches while issuing a season-high five walks Saturday, though he still grabbed the win since the Cardinals scored all nine of their runs across the first five innings off the contest. Martinez has a 4.35 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 22:14 K:BB across 41.1 innings through seven starts in 2021.
