Paddack did not factor in the decision against St. Louis on Saturday. He hurled four innings, allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out two.

The right-hander was effective in the outing, but a high pitch count prevented him from picking up his second win. Paddack's only allowed run of the game came as the result of a Yadier Molina home run in the fourth inning, and he did not allow any additional extra-base hits. He is tentatively slated to next take the mound at home against Seattle next week.

Wainwright (2-4) took the loss against San Diego on Saturday as a result of allowing six runs on eight hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out two.

Wainwright did not have great control in the contest, as he threw only 52 of 92 pitches for strikes. However, his biggest problem was the long ball -- he allowed three home runs, accounting for five of the eight runs scored against him. The right-hander's start was his poorest since he yielded six runs across 2.2 innings in his first start of the campaign. He'll carry a less-than-desirable 4.63 ERA into his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to come at home against the Cubs on Friday.

Anderson (3-1) earned the win Saturday against the Brewers after allowing one run on two hits and four walks while fanning four across six innings.

Anderson had a few command issues that resulted in four walks -- tying his season-high mark --but still limited the damage to just one run allowed and he's now allowed one or fewer runs in three of his last five appearances. The right-hander owns a 4.50 ERA and will try to build off this performance when he takes the ball next week at home against the Pirates.

Mahle allowed two earned runs on seven hits while striking out four across seven innings in the win over the Rockies on Saturday. He did not factor into the decision.

Mahle made his longest start of the season, making it through seven frames. He allowed a two-run home run to Ryan McMahon in the first inning, but settled in to pitch six scoreless innings. The 26-year-old has a 2.93 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in 43 innings. He carries a 10.9 K/9, best amongst Reds starters. His next start projects for Thursday against San Francisco.

Nola (3-3) allowed three earned runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out eight across 6.2 innings, taking the loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Nola allowed a two-out home run to Vladimir Guerrero in the first inning. All three runs came in the first two innings before Nola settled in. The 28-year-old has 3.64 ERA and 10.1 K/9 in 54.1 innings. It's not Nola's greatest start to a season, but he's still keeping the Phillies in every game he starts. He's doing a great job limiting free passes with a 1.5 BB/9. His next start is scheduled for Friday against the Red Sox.

Garrett was recalled by the Marlins on Saturday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Both of Garrett's appearances during his big-league debut last season came as a starter, but the Marlins don't appear to need a starter for the next few days. It's possible he'll be asked to provide length behind Jordan Holloway against the Dodgers on Saturday, as Holloway lasted just 3.2 innings in his first career start Monday. Cody Poteet was optioned to clear a spot for Garrett on the roster.

Oviedo was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Saturday.

Oviedo struggled in his latest outing, lasting just two innings in his start Friday against the Padres while giving up three runs, walking five batters and hitting another. He now owns a 5.74 ERA through three starts and one relief appearance. Junior Fernandez was recalled in a corresponding move.

Lucchesi (1-3) allowed four runs on three hits and a walk while striking out two in 1.2 innings pitched, taking the loss in Saturday's 12-5 defeat against the Rays.

The lefty pitched a clean third inning before allowing the first four batters to reach in the fourth. Lucchesi pitched terribly in three starts and Saturday marked his first disastrous relief outing. With a 9.19 ERA, the 27-year-old will not be long for the Mets' big-league roster unless he turns his season around and does so soon.

Lauer was optioned to Triple-A Nashville on Saturday.

Lauer had recently shifted to a bullpen role but is expected to build back up as a starter in the minors. In two starts and two relief appearances this season, Lauer owns a 2.81 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 16:2 K:BB. Hoby Milner was called up in a corresponding move.

Gausman allowed one run on five hits while striking out a career-high 12 hitters over eight innings in a 3-2 extra-innings loss to the Pirates on Friday. He did not factor into the decision.

Gausman was in complete control for a majority of the game against Pittsburgh as he threw 70 of his 96 pitches for strikes and had his off-speed stuff working with 10 of his 12 strikeouts coming via the splitter. Manager Gabe Kapler tested his luck by sending Gausman back out to begin the ninth and it did not work out well after he surrendered back-to-back singles and was replaced by Jake McGee, who allowed one of the inherited runners to score. The 30-year-old Gausman clearly pitched well enough to earn the win but the Giants managed just four hits on the night. Gausman's 1.84 ERA is tied for fifth-best among qualified pitchers in baseball and his 0.84 WHIP is good for seventh. He'll look to avoid the loss column in a meeting against the Reds next week.
