Lopez (4-4) earned the win Friday against the Nationals after tossing six innings of two-run ball, giving up six hits and a walk while fanning nine.

The right-hander has three wins and three quality starts over his last four appearances. The nine strikeouts also tied Lopez's season-high mark, and he has recorded seven or more strikeouts in four of his last five games as well. He's slated to take the ball on the road against the Phillies next week.

Gray allowed five hits and no walks while striking out 10 in five innings during Friday's loss to the Brewers. He didn't factor into the decision.

Gray returned to the mound after he missed the last three weeks with a right elbow strain, and he was dominant Friday while throwing 83 pitches. He racked up double-digit strikeouts for the 15th time in his career, which tied Pedro Astacio for the most appearances with double-digit strikeouts in franchise history. Lugo (1-0) gave up no hits and a walk while striking out three in a scoreless eighth inning to earn the win over the Phillies in the first game of Friday's doubleheader.

Lugo gave up his first runs since his season debut during his last appearance, but he put up another scoreless outing to earn his first win of the year in Friday's matinee. He's held the opposition scoreless in eight of his first 10 games since he returned from the injured list, and he's posted a 2.61 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 10.1 innings. The right-hander has served mainly as a setup man for closer Edwin Diaz.

Walker allowed one run on three hits and one walk while striking out five in five innings during a win over the Phillies in the first game of Friday's doubleheader. He didn't factor into the decision.

Walker gave up 10 hits in his last start, but he was much more effective Friday. However, the Mets didn't get on the board until the seventh inning, which forced him to settle for a no-decision. In his six starts since he returned from the injured list, he's posted a 2.80 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 35.1 innings. Walker tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Atlanta on Wednesday.

Suarez (3-2) allowed an unearned run on a hit and a walk in a third of an inning to take the loss against the Mets in the first game of Friday's doubleheader.

Suarez was brought on to begin the eighth inning of Friday's matinee, so he began his outing with a runner on second base. He issued an intentional walk to lead off the inning but gave up a walkoff single to the next batter he faced. The southpaw has now been charged with losses in two of his last four appearances, but he's still posted a 0.66 ERA and 0.70 WHIP in 27.1 innings across 16 relief outings this year.

Nola allowed two hits and a walk while striking out 12 in 5.1 scoreless innings during Friday's loss to the Mets in the first game of Friday's doubleheader. He didn't factor into the decision.

Nola hit the leadoff batter and gave up a double to begin Friday's matinee, but he struck out the next 10 batters he faced, which matched Tom Seaver's 51-year-old major-league record, Sarah Langs of MLB.com reports. While the right-hander drove in the Phillies' lone run with a double of his own in the top of the fifth inning, the Mets responded later in the game and won in extra innings. Although Nola gave up six runs in 2.1 innings during his last start, he's now had two scoreless appearances in his last three outings. The 28-year-old tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Marlins on Wednesday.

Williams (abdomen) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Iowa on Sunday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Williams has been sidelined since the end of May, but he's been ramping up his intensity across the last several weeks. He threw a simulated inning Tuesday and threw a bullpen session Thursday, and the start of his rehab assignment should allow him to increase his pitch count. It's not yet clear how many rehab games the right-hander could require before he returns to the majors, but he's progressing well in his recovery.

Webb (shoulder) will throw a simulated inning this week, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Webb threw a bullpen session Monday, and he'll progress to facing hitters in the near future. He's been dealing with a right shoulder strain since mid-May but has made steady progress. The right-hander will likely require a rehab assignment before he returns to the Giants, but it's not yet clear when that could occur.

Gray (shoulder) threw live batting practice Friday, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Gray was shut down in early May with a shoulder impingement. He resumed playing catch earlier in June and Friday's update marks the first word of him throwing off a mound. The right-hander will likely be sent to Triple-A Oklahoma City when he's ready to pitch in games, but he could make his major-league debut later in 2021.

Gray (elbow) was activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Friday's start at Milwaukee.

The 29-year-old missed the past three weeks with a strained right elbow, but he'll rejoin the rotation in Friday's series opener. Gray had a 2.54 ERA and 1.09 WHIP through his first five starts of the campaign, but he posted a 5.71 ERA in his previous seven outings before landing on the injured list.
