Toussaint (1-0) picked up the win Tuesday, giving up one run on three hits and two walks over 6.2 innings in a 2-1 victory over the Padres. He struck out five.

Matched up against San Diego ace Yu Darvish, Toussaint rose to the occasion and tossed 48 of 79 pitches for strikes in his first big-league appearance of the year. The 25-year-old has flashed impressive upside in the past but has never been able to find consistent success, making him a risky fantasy option this weekend in Philadelphia despite this performance.

Rogers didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Nationals after tossing five innings of two-run ball, allowing five hits and three walks while fanning three.

Rogers has arguably been the Marlins' most consistent arm this season, but he didn't have his best stuff in this one. The left-hander, who's now thrown a career-high 106.1 innings in 2021, has gone winless in his last six starts, even as he owns a 3.52 ERA, a 1.21 WHIP and a strong 10.6 K/9 in that span. His next start is slated to come in the latter portion of a four-game series at home against the Padres that begins Thursday.

Darvish (7-4) took the loss Tuesday as the Padres were downed 2-1 by Atlanta, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out three.

The 34-year-old was locked in a surprising pitchers' duel with Touki Toussaint, and when Freddie Freeman broke a 1-1 tie with an opposite-field solo shot in the sixth inning, it tagged Darvish with his second loss in three July starts. He has a 7.36 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 2.5 HR/9 over 14.2 innings on the month, but he'll get a chance to turn things in his next scheduled outing, a road tilt in Miami this weekend.

Gray hurled four innings against the Giants on Tuesday, allowing four runs on four hits and one walk while striking out seven. He did not factor in the decision.

The right-hander entered the game for his major-league debut in the third inning following opener Darien Nunez. Gray put up an uneven first impression, allowing three long balls but notching 15 swinging strikes and seven punchouts in just four frames. His stuff certainly lived up to the hype as the Dodgers' top pitching prospect, though he'll need to do a better job of keeping the ball in the park to find prolonged success. Gray has a chance to stick with the big club given the current thinness of the Dodgers' rotation, though it remains to be seen if he'll continue following an opener or move into a traditional starting role. His next appearance could come Sunday at home against Colorado.

Wood completed five innings against the Dodgers on Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk while striking out seven. He did not factor in the decision.

Facing the team he won a championship with in 2020, Wood racked up 16 swinging strikes and fanned seven batters across five frames. He gave up a run in the first inning, then held Los Angeles' offense quiet until Chris Taylor got to him for a two-run home run in the fifth. The southpaw hasn't lost a decision since June 1, going 3-0 with four no-decisions over his past seven starts. He'll carry a 3.77 ERA into his next start, which is scheduled to come at home against Pittsburgh on Sunday.

Anderson did not factor in the decision against Arizona on Tuesday. He pitched six innings and allowed three runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out six.

The southpaw picked up his fourth quality start in his past seven outings and departed the contest with Pittsburgh staked to a two-run lead. However, the Pirates' bullpen allowed eight runs after Anderson's exit, and Arizona cruised to an 11-6 win. Despite the no-decision, Anderson pitched relatively well, connecting on first-pitch strikes to 18 of the 25 batters he faced and throwing 56 of 77 pitches for strikes overall. Over his past three starts, the veteran hurler has allowed only five earned runs over 18 innings. Anderson is projected to next take the mound at home against Milwaukee early next week.

Oviedo allowed one earned run on three hits and one walk while striking out five across five innings Tuesday against the Cubs. He did not factor into the decision.

Oviedo struggled throughout the first half of the season, but he will likely be needed with several of the Cardinals' starters sidelined by injury. He responded with one of his best outings of the campaign, holding the Cubs to only one run that came in the second frame. He exited the contest with a 4-1 lead, but a meltdown in the ninth inning by the bullpen denied him his first win of the season. Oviedo now has a 4.81 ERA with a 45:31 K:BB across 58 innings on the campaign.

Williams allowed four earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out three across five innings Tuesday against the Cardinals. He did not factor into the decision.

Williams made his first start since May 26 and worked two scoreless innings to begin the outing. However, he stumbled from there, allowing one earned run in the third frame and three more in the fourth. Williams has had an uninspiring campaign to this point, posting a 5.68 ERA with a 55:22 K:BB across 52.1 innings. Even so, he should have a chance to stick in the rotation with Jake Arrieta (hamstring) sidelined.

Marquez (8-7) allowed four earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five across six innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Mariners.

Marquez cruised through five scoreless innings, allowing only two hits and two walks in that span. However, he unraveled in his final frame, surrendering two singles, two doubles and a two-run home run. That resulted in his seventh loss of the season and first in five starts since June 12. Overall, Marquez has maintained a 3.50 ERA with 119 strikeouts across 118.1 innings.

Miley (8-4) allowed one earned run on seven hits and two walks with eight strikeouts over 6.1 innings en route to his eighth win of the season in Tuesday's 4-3 victory over the Mets.

Miley tied his season high in strikeouts Tuesday night, settling in nicely after giving up a solo home run to Pete Alonso in the first inning. The 11-year veteran remains about as durable an arm as one can find in 2021, as this latest success marked his 11th trip to the sixth inning or later. He'll carry a sterling 2.72 ERA into his next start, which will likely come Monday against the Cubs.
