Contreras (forearm) has resumed playing catch from 75-90 feet, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.
Contreras returned to Double-A Altoona last week to resume his rehab, and he's increased his throwing distance recently. The Pirates haven't yet announced when the right-hander could resume mound work.
