Walker (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Sunday, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.

Although Walker was able to throw a bullpen after playing catch Thursday and Friday, manager Buck Showalter said afterward that the right-hander will likely require more than one rehab start prior to rejoining the major-league club. The Mets haven't yet revealed when his rehab assignment will begin, but it's possible that he'll be able to return to the majors sometime in early May.

Peterson pitched 4.1 scoreless innings, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out four in a 5-0 win Sunday against Arizona. He did not factor into the decision.

Peterson did not allow a runner past second base in his first start of the season. The lefty wasn't exactly efficient, needing 80 pitches to get through 4.1 innings, but he got the job done. After not making the team out of spring training, the 26-year-old has pitched very well to start the season and has yet to allow a run in 8.1 innings. He is scheduled to start against the Diamondbacks again on Friday in Arizona.

DeSclafani allowed two runs on five hits while striking out four across 4.2 innings in a no-decision Saturday against the Guardians.

DeSclafani tossed 40 of his 64 pitches for strikes in this one and his command has been quite good to start the season, as he owns a 9:1 K:BB through 8.1 innings in 2022. He's looking to build off a strong campaign last season in which he posted a 3.17 ERA with a 1.09 WHIP across 167.2 frames, and he will try to earn his first win of the season in his next scheduled start, tabbed for April 21 on the road against the Mets.

Gallen allowed two hits and one walk while striking out two across four shutout innings Saturday against the Mets. He did not factor into the decision.

Gallen turned in a solid season debut and stayed out of trouble by not allowing any runners into scoring position. He relied primarily on inducing soft contact, though he also racked up eight swinging strikes across 66 total pitches. The only downside to the effort was the lack of length, but that was to be expected as he dealt with both shoulder and thumb issues prior to his opening outing. Gallen should be able to work a bit deeper in his second turn through the rotation, currently projected to come Thursday at Washington.

Carrasco allowed three hits and two walks while striking out eight across five scoreless innings Saturday against Arizona. He did not factor into the decision.

Carrasco dominated the Diamondbacks throughout his effort, as he limited them to only one extra-base hit. He also generated 17 swinging strikes on only 82 total pitches. Carrasco has looked sharp through two outings this season, recording a 13:2 K:BB across 10.2 frames. He's currently projected to make his next start Thursday against San Francisco.

Suarez (1-0) earned the win Saturday against the Marlins after giving up two runs on six hits and three walks while fanning four across five innings.

Suarez lasted only 2.2 innings and tossed 63 pitches in the season opener, but he improved his efficiency in this one with 78 pitches (49 strikes) while ending just three outs shy of what would've been his first quality start of the campaign. Suarez posted a blistering 1.36 ERA through 106 innings last season, and while he has recorded a 5.87 ERA over his first two appearances in 2022, this was clearly a step in the right direction. His next scheduled start is tabbed for April 22 against the Brewers at home.

Rogers (0-2) allowed seven runs on four hits and four walks while striking out three across 1.2 innings to take the loss Saturday against the Phillies.

Rogers had an up-and-down performance in his season debut against the Giants on April 10, but he was absolutely woeful in this one and couldn't even escape the second inning. The southpaw posted an impressive 2.64 ERA through 25 starts last season, but things have not gone according to plan this season, as he owns a 12.15 ERA over his first 6.2 innings of work while posting a 6:5 K:BB.

Houser (0-2) took the loss against St. Louis on Saturday, pitching 5.2 innings and allowing one run on four hits and three walks while striking out four.

Despite some control issues -- he threw only 54 of 97 pitches for strikes -- Houser allowed only a fourth-inning run in the outing. He was lifted in the sixth with the Brewers trailing 1-0, and Milwaukee's offense was never able to catch up and take him off the hook for the loss. Houser holds a 2.89 ERA through two starts, but he is 0-2 and his peripherals -- including a 7:6 K:BB over 9.1 frames -- are less promising. He'll likely make his next start in Philadelphia next weekend.

Matz (1-1) earned the win over Milwaukee on Saturday, hurling 5.2 scoreless innings during which he allowed three hits and no walks while striking out six.

After surrendering seven earned runs over three innings in a disappointing season debut, Matz turned things around with 5.2 scoreless frames and his first win Saturday. He allowed only one extra-base hit and struck out six in the performance. Fantasy managers in leagues that count quality starts may be disappointed that he was removed from the contest one out shy of completing six frames, but it's worth noting that Matz battled a blister in his first start, so it's a net positive that he was able to throw 77 pitches without the issue reoccurring Saturday. Matz is tentatively slated to make his next start Friday at Cincinnati.

Greene (1-1) took the loss in Saturday's 5-2 defeat at the hands of the Dodgers, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits with six strikeouts in 5.2 innings.

Greene went toe-to-toe with Julio Urias and the Dodgers through five innings but faltered in the sixth when he surrendered a two-run shot to Trea Turner. The electric 22-year-old has displayed significant upside with a combined 13 strikeouts in 10.2 innings pitched as he regularly tops 100 mph on the radar gun. Greene is currently slated to pitch next against the Cardinals on Friday.
