Cobb (groin) threw a two-inning side session Thursday, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.
With Jakob Junis getting sent to the minors Friday, it would seem that things are lining up for Cobb to return to the rotation soon, although that has not been confirmed. Cobb's increased fastball velocity had him looking like he was in for a potential career year prior to suffering the groin injury.
