Megill (4-0) issued three walks over five scoreless, no-hit innings Friday, striking out five and earning a win over Philadelphia.

Megill fired the first five innings of the Mets' combined no-hitter, throwing 53 of 88 pitches for strikes and inducing 12 whiffs. The 6-foot-7 righty lowered his season ERA to an impressive 1.93 through 28 innings. Megill has gone at least five frames in each of his first five starts this season, and three of those were scoreless performances. He'll look to keep riding that momentum at home against Atlanta next week.

Darvish (2-1) gave up three runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out five in six innings Friday against the Pirates. He picked up the win.

This was a baseline quality start, although Darvish scattered a season-high eight hits. He has now gone six-plus innings in three straight starts and four of five total on the season. Darvish lines up for a home start in the middle of the week against the Marlins.

Cobb (groin) will likely come off the injured list to start Sunday against the Nationals, John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

On the one hand, Cobb won't line up to face the Dodgers next week, but on the other hand, his fantasy managers in weekly leagues probably left him on their benches this week. Cobb completed a two-inning side session Thursday in preparation to be activated Sunday.

Boyd (elbow) played catch Thursday and threw a side session Friday, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

He continues to make small progress in his throwing program, but we won't see him until June at the earliest, given that he is on the 60-day injured list.

With Jakob Junis getting sent to the minors Friday, it would seem that things are lining up for Cobb to return to the rotation soon, although that has not been confirmed. Cobb's increased fastball velocity had him looking like he was in for a potential career year prior to suffering the groin injury.

Snell (groin) pitched four scoreless innings for High-A Fort Wayne on Thursday, allowing two hits and no walks while striking out four.

In his first minor-league rehab start as he works his way back from a groin injury, Snell threw 44 pitches and allowed only three baserunners. He may need another rehab start to push his pitch count higher, but a return to the big-league rotation in early-to-mid May appears to be likely.

Overton will start Saturday's game against the Rockies, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Overton was added to Cincinnati's taxi squad Friday, and he'll have his contract selected Saturday to take Nick Lodolo's (back) place in the rotation. While the right-hander will have to pitch at hitter-friendly Coors Field during his team debut, he had strong results at Triple-A Louisville early in the year, posting a 2.84 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in 19 innings over four appearances (two starts).

Walker (shoulder) remains on track to start Saturday against the Phillies and is stretched out to throw about 80-to-85 pitches and five innings, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

Walker has been sidelined since exiting his season debut April 11 with right shoulder bursitis, but he'll return to the mound Saturday and will unsurprisingly face some workload restrictions. However, the limitations are fairly minor, and the right-hander should be cleared for a full workload within another start or two, assuming he avoids any setbacks.

Overton was added to the Reds' taxi squad Friday.

Overton has made four appearances (two starts) in Louisville this year and has recorded a 2.84 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in 19 innings. He'll travel with the Reds during their weekend road trip to Colorado and is a strong candidate to start Saturday against the Rockies since Nick Lodolo (back) is on the 10-day IL.

Rogers (1-3) allowed one earned run on two hits and two walks while striking out four across six innings to earn the win Thursday against the Nationals.

Rogers allowed a run in the opening frame, which was mostly produced by a wild pitch and passed ball. However, he settled in quickly and did not allow a hit across his final five innings of work -- highlighted by eight groundball outs. Rogers has now allowed two or fewer earned runs in three of his four outings to begin the season, which amounts to a 5.09 ERA and a 14:9 K:BB across 17.2 frames.
