Carrasco (2-1) picked up the win in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against Atlanta, allowing six hits and two walks over eight scoreless innings. He struck out five.

The veteran right-hander bounced back in dazzling fashion from a rough performance against the Cardinals in his last start. Carrasco fired 96 pitches (68 strikes) before exiting his second quality start of the season, and while he'll take a 3.30 ERA and 1.00 WHIP into his next outing, the 35-year-old's 23.1 percent strikeout rate is still well off the pace he managed while anchoring the Cleveland staff in his late 20s.

Wright (3-1) took the loss in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Mets, giving up three runs on nine hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out three.

The right-hander pitched well enough to earn a win, but the Atlanta offense got shut out in the nightcap of the twin bill. Wright has delivered three straight quality starts and four in his five turns through the rotation this season, leading to a 1.74 ERA and 0.97 WHIP, and his impressive 30.6 percent strikeout rate and 5.8 percent walk rate back up that performance.

Overton is listed as the Reds' starting pitcher for Friday's game against the Pirates in Cincinnati, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Nick Lodolo (back) initially looked like a candidate to return from the 10-day injured list to take the hill Friday, but the Reds could choose to save him for Saturday's doubleheader with Pittsburgh or push him back to next week if he needs more time to recover from his injury. In any case, Overton will make at least one more turn through the rotation after he delivered a credible performance in his season debut for the Reds over the weekend in Colorado. He worked 5.1 innings and took a no-decision on Coors Field, striking out three while limiting the Rockies to one run on three hits and two walks.

Rodon (3-1) took the loss during Tuesday's 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Dodgers, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts in six innings.

Rodon pitched well despite the loss Tuesday, surrendering both runs on a Chris Taylor single in the second inning and recording his third quality start in five turns. The two earned runs mark a season high while the five total baserunners match another, as Rodon has now permitted two walks in every start as well as three hits in all but one. The biggest difference Tuesday was the decline to three strikeouts from an average of 9.5 through his first four turns. Rodon lines up to make another start this weekend against St. Louis.

Urias (2-1) earned the win during Tuesday's 3-1 victory over San Francisco, allowing four hits with four strikeouts in six scoreless innings.

Urias breezed through six innings Tuesday, firing 52 of 65 pitches for strikes and scattering four hits across four different innings to avoid any real threats. Urias has been scorching since a dud in Colorado to open the season with only two runs surrendered in four starts and 22 innings, though Los Angeles' commitment to limiting the 25-year-old's workload caps his upside. He's tentatively scheduled to pitch again Monday in Pittsburgh.

Woodruff (3-1) picked up the win over the Reds on Tuesday, allowing three runs on four hits over 5.2 innings. He struck out 12 and did not issue a walk.

Outside of a two-batter stretch when he allowed back-to-back homers to Tommy Pham and Mike Moustakas, Woodruff was utterly dominant. He had 19 called strikes and 18 swinging strikes on 95 pitches. Afterward, Woodruff told Adam McCalvy of MLB.com that he's been "working extremely hard to get back to myself" after a disappointing start to the season; even after Tuesday's gem, Woodruff still has a 5.18 ERA. This performance was a big step in the right direction.

Mahle (1-4) took the loss to the Brewers on Tuesday. He was charged with five runs (four earned) on four hits and three walks with two strikeouts over 3.1 innings.

Willy Adames' three-run homer in the third inning accounted for most of the damage against Mahle, though the right-hander was inefficient throughout, needing 92 pitches to record his 10 outs. The Reds are now a disastrous 3-20 on the season and Mahle is pitching uninspired ball. He's taken the loss in four consecutive outings, and if he can't get on track soon, Mahle could end up on the waiver wire in a lot of fantasy leagues.

Suarez (2-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Rangers after giving up five runs (three earned) on six hits with three strikeouts and two walks across five innings.

The 26-year-old pitched well for most of the evening but surrendered two home runs to account for all three of the earned runs against him. Suarez was pulled in the sixth inning after the first two batters reached via a single and an error, and both runners came around to score as unearned tallies with two outs. The left-hander has yet to give up more than three earned runs in a start this season, though his 4.63 ERA remains unimpressive. Suarez was never going to replicate his performance from last season -- when he had a 1.36 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 107:33 K:BB over 106 innings -- but he's still been below expectations early in 2022.

Rogers (1-5) was charged with the loss Tuesday against the Diamondbacks after giving up five runs on six hits with four strikeouts and two walks over 4.1 innings.

Rogers allowed only a pair of solo homers across the first four frames, but Arizona struck for three runs in the fifth to end his evening. The left-hander surrendered only one earned run in 11 innings over his previous two starts, and he was unable to hold down a Diamondbacks team which ranks last in MLB in batting average (.185). Rogers has a 6.14 ERA and 18:11 K:BB through five starts this season and next projects to take the mound Sunday in San Diego.

Matz (personal) is expected to be ready to go for his start Saturday against San Francisco, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Matz landed on the bereavement list Tuesday, but it looks as though he'll avoid missing any outings. He started Monday against the Royals and will be back with the team before his next scheduled start.
