Malone (illness/shoulder) was reinstated from the 7-day injured list at Single-A Bradenton on Thursday.

Malone dealt with an illness this spring and spent the last several months building up at the Pirates' extended spring training facility. He should join the rotation in Bradenton now that he's been activated from the injured list.

Strasburg (neck) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of his start against the Marlins on Thursday, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.

The veteran right-hander threw 83 pitches over six scoreless innings during his final rehab start Friday, and he's now back on the active roster for his 2022 debut Thursday in Miami. Strasburg has made only seven starts over the past two years while dealing with injuries, and he's likely to face at least some workload restrictions in his first outing of the season.

Woodruff (ankle) resumed throwing off a mound Thursday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Woodruff said last week that he hoped to return from the injured list following a relatively minimal absence, and Thursday's throwing session marked the first time he threw off a mound since sustaining his ankle injury May 27. It's possible the right-hander will need additional time to ramp up his workload, but it seems unlikely he'll require a significant absence. Even if Woodruff isn't able to return when he's first eligible Sunday, he'll presumably be in the mix to return to game action sometime next week.

Alcantara didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Nationals, allowing six hits over nine scoreless innings while striking out six without walking a batter.

It was another stellar performance from the right-hander, but neither team pushed across a run until the 10th inning, denying Alcantara his seventh win of the year. He's gone at least seven innings and given up one earned run or fewer in six straight starts, making him the first pitcher to put together a run like that since Jake Arrieta in his Cy Young Award-winning 2015 campaign. Alcantara's 1.61 ERA is also the best mark in Marlins history through a pitcher's first 12 starts, and he's added a 0.94 WHIP and 77:24 K:BB through 83.2 innings.

Kelly (5-3) earned the win Wednesday, allowing zero runs on one hit and three walks over six innings against the Reds. He struck out five.

Kelly never allowed more than one baserunner in an inning en route to his fifth win. Wednesday's performance marked the right-hander's fourth straight quality start and his fourth scoreless appearance of the campaign. Across 12 starts and 65 innings, he sports a 3.32 ERA and 54:27 K:BB. Kelly's next start is tentatively scheduled for a rematch with the Reds in Arizona on Monday.

Gray didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Marlins, allowing six hits and a walk over five scoreless innings. He struck out six.

The right-hander dueled Miami ace Sandy Alcantara to a standstill for five frames as the two teams wound up doing all their scoring in the 10th. Gray tossed 69 of 101 pitches for strikes before exiting, continuing a hot streak that has seen him give up one earned run or less in three straight outings. He'll take a 4.33 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 69:29 K:BB through 62.1 innings into his next start.

Keuchel is not being considered for a start Sunday in Philadelphia, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo confirmed that Keuchel is not a candidate for Sunday's spot in the rotation, adding that the left-hander was on the taxi squad in the event of issues with COVID-19. Keuchel recently signed a minor-league deal with Arizona, which gives him a chance to work with his former pitching coach Brent Strom.

Bassitt (4-4) lasted only 3.1 innings against San Diego on Wednesday, allowing seven runs (six earned) on seven hits and two walks to take the loss. He struck out six batters.

Bassitt fell behind in the first inning and gave up an unearned run in the third, but the fourth inning was when things fell apart for him. The right-hander was hurt by an error behind him, but he also gave up three hits and a walk while retiring only one batter in the frame. This was Bassitt's shortest start of the season and marked the third outing during which he has given up at least five earned runs. His ERA swelled to 4.35 as a result of the rough appearance, which is on pace for his worst mark since he posted a 6.11 ERA across five games in 2016.

Senzatela did not factor in the decision against San Francisco on Wednesday, allowing one run on six hits and one walk while striking out six over six innings.

Senzatela was knocked around for six earned runs over 5.1 innings in his previous start, so this was a nice response by the right-hander. He allowed only one run and went just long enough to finish with his first quality start since April 29. Senzatela isn't much of a fantasy asset given his 4.83 ERA, 1.85 WHIP and lowly 4.4 K/9 on the season thus far.

Wood allowed one run on five hits and no walks while striking out five over seven innings against Colorado on Wednesday, though he didn't factor in the decision.

Wood hurled seven innings for the first time this season and yielded only a third-inning run, but San Francisco's offense was unable to offer much run support. The left-hander thus stretched his streak of starts without a win to five, though he has given up more than three runs only once in that span. Wood is 3-5 on the campaign while compiling a 4.23 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 55:15 K:BB across 55.1 innings.
