Freeland (4-6) took the loss Monday versus the Dodgers. He allowed four runs on six hits and a walk with five strikeouts in 5.2 innings.

Freeland retired 13 Dodgers in a row to start the game, but they built a rally against him in the fifth inning. Trayce Thompson took him deep for a three-run home run and Mookie Betts added an RBI single. Freeland got into more trouble in the sixth before Jhoulys Chacin relieved him. Freeland completed at least six frames in each of his five starts in June, so Monday marked a slight step back. The southpaw has a 4.43 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 63:27 K:BB across 91.1 innings in 16 starts. He's projected for a road start versus the Diamondbacks this weekend.

Urias (7-6) allowed a run on five hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in six innings, earning the win Monday over the Rockies.

Urias' lone mistake was a fifth-inning solo home run to Jose Iglesias, but the Dodgers responded with four runs in their half of the frame. With the win, Urias has emerged victorious in four straight starts, giving him a record in the black for the first time since May 3. The southpaw owns a crisp 2.57 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 83:21 K:BB through 87.2 innings overall. He'll look to keep up his winning ways this weekend in a home start versus the Cubs.

Oviedo exited Monday's game against Atlanta after being struck on the right hand by a line drive, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports. He struck out two over 1.2 scoreless innings in relief before departing.

Oviedo was immediately sent for further testing, and his X-rays came back negative. He'll be considered day-to-day until further notice.

Lauer allowed one run on two hits and two walks over six innings in Monday's win over the Cubs. He struck out nine and did not factor in the decision.

Lauer served up a solo homer to Nelson Velazquez in the third inning but was otherwise dominant. It was the first time he allowed fewer than three runs since May 26; he posted a brutal 6.54 ERA over his previous six outings. The 27-year-old southpaw now owns a strong 89:27 K:BB with a 3.84 ERA through 84.1 innings this season. Lauer is lined up to face the Pirates at home this weekend.

Corbin allowed one run on eight hits and one walk while striking out four across seven innings Monday against the Marlins. He didn't factor into the decision.

Corbin surrendered his only run of the day in the top of the third inning on an RBI single to left field, and he would exit without an opportunity to earn the win despite turning in yet another strong performance. Corbin has given up just two runs over his last two starts, fanning 16 and walking three over that stretch (15 innings).

Garrett allowed one run on four hits and one walk while striking out four across 7.1 innings Monday against the Nationals. He didn't factor into the decision.

Garrett pounded the zone in this one, firing 57 of his 83 pitches for strikes. He surrendered his only run in the bottom of the eighth inning on an RBI single to right field, and he was removed immediately after without a chance to snag the victory. The southpaw got knocked around for five runs in his previous outing, but he's allowed three runs or fewer in four of his last five starts. Garrett has accrued a 4.25 ERA and 1.45 WHIP with a 26:7 K:BB over 29.2 innings on the year.

Urena is expected to make a spot start Wednesday against the Dodgers, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Urena spent the first month of the 2022 season with the Brewers, posting a 3.52 ERA and 1.57 WHIP with a 5:3 K:BB across 7.2 frames in a relief role before being designated for assignment in early May. If the right-hander is confirmed as Wednesday's starter, it would mark his first big-league action since April 26. Urena has worked five and six innings in his last two minor-league outings, respectively, so he could potentially work more than a few frames if things go well.

Steele allowed just one run on two hits across 6.2 innings but did not factor into the decision in Monday's loss to the Brewers. He walked four and struck out nine.

Steele was cruising with a 1-0 lead into the seventh inning, but after recording two quick outs, he allowed a walk and double that tied the game. After another walk, the lefty got the hook. It was a promising start nonetheless for Steele, who was one away from matching his season high in strikeouts. The walks are still holding him back a bit, as this was the seventh time in 16 starts that he's walked three or more batters. Steele will look to keep pitching well in his next scheduled start Saturday against the Dodgers.

Rockies manager Bud Black said Monday that Feltner will be placed on Triple-A Albuquerque's 7-day injured list due to back soreness, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Feltner was a candidate to receive a call-up to start Wednesday against the Dodgers in place of Antonio Senzatela (shoulder), but Jose Urena now looks on track to get the starting nod with Feltner headed to the IL. Assuming the back issue proves to be a short-term concern for Feltner, he'll receive future consideration for spot starts when the Rockies have an opening in the rotation.

Mets manager Buck Showalter said Bassitt (illness) is a "long shot" to return from the COVID-19-related injured list before Thursday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Although a Thursday return hasn't been ruled out for Bassitt, the Mets seem prepared for Trevor Williams to make a second straight turn through the rotation in place of the right-hander. Bassitt could still have a chance at making it back from the IL at some point during the remaining three games of the series with Miami, but the Mets may be inclined to skip his upcoming turn through the rotation entirely even if he clears all COVID-19-related protocols before the weekend.
