Quintana (6-7) took the loss Wednesday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over five innings against Milwaukee. He struck out seven.

Quintana surrendered the first run of the game on a single from Hunter Renfroe in the third inning but was otherwise blemish free. The lefty has allowed two runs or fewer in 13 straight starts, recording a 1.74 ERA and 1.08 WHIP over 72.1 innings. The 33-year-old has a 2.24 ERA and 1.08 WHIP over 92.1 innings at home as opposed to a 3.97 ERA and 1.41 WHIP over 70.1 innings on the road.

Garrett is scheduled to start Thursday's game against the Brewers in Milwaukee.

Garrett was called up from Triple-A Jacksonville last week and stepped into the rotation Friday against the Nationals, working six innings and allowing one run en route to claiming his third win of the season. With Trevor Rogers (lat) shut down for the season, Garrett should be in store for two more starts to close out the 2022 campaign. After Thursday's outing, Garrett will line up to take the hill Oct. 4 versus Atlanta.

Gallen did not factor into the decision against the Astros on Wednesday, allowing two runs on six hits over seven innings. He struck out six and also walked a batter.

Gallen retired 12 of the first 14 batters he faced before he allowed a two-out double to Trey Mancini in the bottom of the fifth, which was followed by a two-run homer from Chas McCormick. The right-hander would allow only three singles and a walk for the remainder of the game, though he also plunked a batter. Gallen holds a 2.16 ERA and 0.69 WHIP in September to go along with a 41:5 K:BB over that span. He lines up to take on the Brewers on the road in the penultimate game of the regular season Tuesday.

Urena (3-8) was tagged with the loss against San Francisco on Wednesday, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and four walks while striking out six batters over five innings.

Urena tied his season high with six strikeouts in the contest, but he also issued a season-high four walks. He needed 96 pitches to get through five frames and ended up with his second loss to the Giants over the past week. Urena made five starts in September, posting a 3.95 ERA and 1.50 WHIP over 27.1 innings while registering an 0-3 record.

Musgrove did not factor in the decision against the Dodgers on Wednesday, pitching five scoreless innings during which he allowed four hits and four walks while striking out eight batters.

Musgrove wasn't at his sharpest in the outing, as he needed 106 pitches to get through five frames and tied a season high with four walks. He twice loaded the bases and allowed at least one baserunner in all but one of his innings, but he managed to escape without surrendering any runs. Musgrove has now given up just one run over his past three starts covering 16 innings, lowering his season ERA to 3.03. That's on pace to be the best of his career, and he can tie his single-season high mark in wins with a victory in his final start of the regular season next week.

Urias did not factor in the decision against San Diego on Wednesday, allowing six hits and two walks while striking out five batters over six scoreless innings.

Neither team scored until the 10th frame, as Urias and opposing starter Joe Musgrove dueled in the early innings. The emerging Dodgers ace wasn't overpowering -- he notched just seven swinging strikes and five punchouts -- but held the Padres without an extra-base hit and allowed only one runner to reach third base. With the six shutout frames, Urias lowered his NL-best ERA to 2.17. Though Sandy Alcantara is the presumptive frontrunner for the NL Cy Young award, it's worth noting that Urias also tops him in a number of other standard stats, including wins (17), WHIP (0.96) and opponent's batting average (.199). Urias will likely have one more regular-season tune-up before starting in the Dodgers' first or second playoff contest.

Nola (10-13) took the loss Wednesday, allowing four runs on five hits over six innings against the Cubs. He struck out eight.

Nola cruised through the first four innings, striking out six while allowing just one hit. However, things unraveled for him in the fifth after he allowed back-to-back singles to Nico Hoerner and Patrick Wisdom to begin the inning and then hit Alfonso Rivas with a pitch two batters later. Christopher Morel would then add a three-run shot to top off a four-run inning on Nola, who came in having allowed just one home run this month. The right-hander has now lost three of his last four decisions. He is projected to take on the Astros in Houston in his next start.

Wesneski (3-1) earned the win against the Phillies on Wednesday, allowing one run on six hits with two walks over five innings. He struck out three.

Wesneski ran into trouble in the third inning after hitting Kyle Schwarber with a pitch and giving up a single to Rhys Hoskins in the following at-bat. Schwarber would then come in to score on a sacrifice fly from Bryce Harper. Wesneski also gave up back-to-back singles to lead off the fourth and eventually loaded the bases, but he was able to pitch his way out of the jam. The 24-year-old right-hander now has a 3-1 mark in September and has allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last three starts.

Manager Buck Showalter said deGrom's next start will come Friday in the series opener against Atlanta, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

DeGrom was originally projected to start Saturday, but he will be moved up a day and go toe-to-toe with Atlanta's ace, Max Fried. DeGrom has faced Atlanta twice this season, allowing a combined five earned runs with 21 strikeouts over 12.1 innings.

Gray did not factor into the decision Wednesday, allowing one run on two hits and two walks over six innings against Atlanta. He struck out two.

Gray got back on track Wednesday with his first quality start since Aug. 15. The only damage came via a solo homer off the bat of Matt Olson in the second inning, as he only allowed three other batters to reach base on the night. The start comes as he had allowed a miserable 18 earned runs in 19.1 innings over his previous four outings. He will take a 5.02 ERA into his next start.
