Ashcraft allowed a run on six hits and a walk while striking out three over six innings in a no-decision versus the Padres on Tuesday.

In his first start after a stint on the bereavement list, Ashcraft turned in a positive outing. It was his fifth quality start through six appearances this season. The 25-year-old was also able to limit an opponent to one walk for just the second time this year. He's pitched to a 2.00 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 27:16 K:BB through 36 innings. Ashcraft still needs to display stronger control, but he's been effective so far. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Mets next week.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Stone will be called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Wednesday's game against the Phillies, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

The Dodgers played things coy for as long as they could, but it's now official that Stone will make his MLB debut against Philadelphia on Wednesday. The right-hander ranks as one of the top pitching prospects in baseball, and he allowed just one run over his last two outings while forging a 15:4 K:BB. Stone has three pitches that can miss bats and has shown the ability to command those offerings, but those who are considering using the 24-year-old in fantasy should be aware of the risk that comes from an MLB debut.

Contreras (3-2) took the loss Tuesday, allowing four runs on six hits and four walks over 5.1 innings against Tampa Bay. He struck out three.

Contreras held the Rays off the board for the first three innings, allowing just one hit. However, he started to unravel in the fourth, allowing a run following a Randy Arozarena leadoff double before surrendering three more in the fifth and sixth innings. The loss snaps a run of three consecutive quality starts for Contreras. The 23-year-old right-hander now has a 4.09 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 27:16 K:BB through his first six starts this season.

Elder (3-0) earned the win Tuesday, allowing no runs on three hits over seven innings against the Marlins. He struck out six.

The Marlins had no answer for Elder on Tuesday. The 23-year-old right-hander held Miami to just three hits (all singles) in a season-high seven scoreless innings. Elder lowered his ERA to 1.75 with a 1.06 WHIP and 32:9 K:BB through 36 innings. While an 88.4 percent strand rate indicates Edler is likely due for some regression, he's been able to limit damage thanks to a 55.0 percent groundball rate.

Gallen did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing three runs on seven hits over five innings against the Rangers. He struck out six.

Gallen entered Tuesday with four straight scoreless starts of at least six innings. The Rangers scored in the first inning and then pushed across two more in the fifth, which was Gallen's last inning. The righty still left the game with the lead, but the Arizona bullpen couldn't hold on, keeping Gallen at four wins. Gallen is off to a dominant start with a 2.53 ERA and 0.84 WHIP in 2023.

Peralta did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing two runs on seven hits and three walks over six innings in a 3-2 loss against Colorado. He struck out 10.

Peralta diced up the Rockies and set down a season-high 10 batters on strikes. He worked through some traffic, as he stranded six runners. The righty is delivering another solid season for the Brewers with a 3.63 ERA and 41 strikeouts in 34.2 innings. His WHIP is at 1.27, which would be his highest mark since the 2019 season.

Feltner did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk over 5.1 innings against the Brewers. He struck out three.

Feltner shut the Rockies out through five innings, but he allowed three of the first four batters to reach in the sixth before being lifted. The 26-year-old allowed 13 runs in his first three starts of the season, but he's only surrendered two more in three subsequent starts to lower his ERA from 8.78 to 4.45. Feltner is tentatively scheduled to face the Mets on Sunday.

DeSclafani (3-1) earned the win Tuesday, allowing three hits over eight scoreless innings against the Astros. He struck out three.

DeSclafani rolled through the Astros lineup, posting a season high in innings pitched. The only downside to DeSclafani's outing was a season-low three strikeouts. The righty has been spectacular this season, going at least five innings in every start. He now has a 2.13 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 30 strikeouts in 38 innings.

Alcantara (1-3) took the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks over five innings against Atlanta. He struck out five.

Alcantara struggled Tuesday, though his final line certainly could've been worse, as he managed to strand nine baserunners over five high-stress innings. Overall, it's been a disappointing start to the year for Alcantara following his Cy Young campaign. His ERA is up to 5.09 with a 1.25 WHIP and 31:12 K:BB through six starts (35.1 innings). The 27-year-old Alcantara will look to get back on track in his next outing, tentatively lined up for this weekend against the Cubs, where the ace will be looking for his first win since April 4.

Nationals manager Dave Martinez said Irvin will be recalled from Triple-A Rochester to make the start against the Cubs on Wednesday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Irvin will be making his MLB debut Wednesday. The 26-year-old has made five starts (22.1 innings) for Rochester while posting a 5.64 ERA and 20:11 K:BB. The Nationals have already sent down Cory Abbott to make room for Irvin on the roster. Whether Irvin makes multiple starts for Washington will be determined in part by how he pitches against the Cubs.
