DeSclafani (3-1) earned the win Tuesday, allowing three hits over eight scoreless innings against the Astros. He struck out three.

DeSclafani rolled through the Astros lineup, posting a season high in innings pitched. The only downside to DeSclafani's outing was a season-low three strikeouts. The righty has been spectacular this season, going at least five innings in every start. He now has a 2.13 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 30 strikeouts in 38 innings.

Alcantara (1-3) took the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks over five innings against Atlanta. He struck out five.

Alcantara struggled Tuesday, though his final line certainly could've been worse, as he managed to strand nine baserunners over five high-stress innings. Overall, it's been a disappointing start to the year for Alcantara following his Cy Young campaign. His ERA is up to 5.09 with a 1.25 WHIP and 31:12 K:BB through six starts (35.1 innings). The 27-year-old Alcantara will look to get back on track in his next outing, tentatively lined up for this weekend against the Cubs, where the ace will be looking for his first win since April 4.

Nationals manager Dave Martinez said Irvin will be recalled from Triple-A Rochester to make the start against the Cubs on Wednesday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Irvin will be making his MLB debut Wednesday. The 26-year-old has made five starts (22.1 innings) for Rochester while posting a 5.64 ERA and 20:11 K:BB. The Nationals have already sent down Cory Abbott to make room for Irvin on the roster. Whether Irvin makes multiple starts for Washington will be determined in part by how he pitches against the Cubs.

Wesneski allowed just one run on five hits across six innings but did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's loss to the Nationals. He struck out two and did not walk a batter.

Wesneski was sharp in his second quality start of the year, but the Cubs mustered only one run of support, denying him a shot at his third win. After allowing eight earned runs across six innings in his first two starts, the 25-year-old has allowed just six earned runs over 22.1 innings in his last four outings. Wesneski will look to keep it up in his next start, which is tentatively set for Sunday against the Marlins.

Suarez (forearm/elbow) fired two scoreless, hitless innings during which he recorded a strikeout and a walk in his rehab start for Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Suarez was scheduled to go deeper in the game, but because of inclement weather, the left-hander threw only 29 pitches. He was able to continue ramping up in the bullpen, however, and finished at 54 pitches. Phillies manager Rob Thomson said that Suarez will make at least one more rehab start before making his return from the 15-day injured list and joining Philadelphia for his 2023 big-league debut.

Lucchesi and the Mets will not face Detroit on Tuesday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

The game will be made up as a split doubleheader between the Tigers and Mets on Wednesday. Lucchesi is virtually assured of starting one of those two contests after being scheduled to take the ball against Detroit on Tuesday.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Kershaw is currently the scheduled starter for Friday's game against the Padres, Matthew Moreno of DodgersBlue.com reports.

Dustin May was lined up for Friday's start with Kershaw going against the Padres on Saturday, but the Dodgers appear committed to giving May some extra time to rest up. Kershaw was outstanding in his most recent start last Saturday, tossing seven scoreless innings in a win over the Cardinals.

Brewers manager Craig Counsell said Tuesday that Houser (groin), who remains on the 15-day injured list and is on a rehab assignment, is trending toward making a start soon for the big-league club, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

McCalvy believes that start could come against the Giants in the Brewers' upcoming three-game series in San Francisco this weekend. Houser covered five innings and 80 pitches last Friday in his most recent rehab start for Triple-A Nashville, allowing three runs. The Brewers haven't officially decided on Houser's next step or his role once he's activated, but if he joins the rotation, he would likely be replacing Colin Rea as the team's No. 5 starter.

Roupp (arm) was reinstated from Double-A Richmond's development list and made his season debut April 23, striking out six while tossing three scoreless innings and allowing one hit and one walk.

In order to give Roupp more time to build up his arm and complete his throwing progression, the Giants had him stay behind at extended spring training in Arizona rather than joining Richmond for the start of its season in early April. The right-hander was cleared to make his season debut about two weeks later and turned in an impressive outing. The 24-year-old doesn't possess a spot on the Giants' 40-man roster, but he could get the chance to make his MLB debut later this season nonetheless.

Seabold will start Thursday's game against the Brewers at Coors Field, Suzie Hunter of TheDNVR.com reports.

Antonio Senzatela (knee) will then come off the injured list to handle Friday's series opener at the Mets, with he and Seabold filling the rotation spots that became open when Noah Davis (elbow) and German Marquez (elbow) recently hit the IL. Seabold has worked exclusively in relief so far this season with Colorado and holds a 5.27 ERA through 13.2 innings. He's not a recommended fantasy streamer, even if Thursday's outing proves to be more than just a spot start.
