Perez will be recalled from Double-A Pensacola to start for the Marlins on Friday against the Reds, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Perez will make his MLB debut against Cincinnati on Friday, and he's earned the promotion with a 2.32 ERA and 42:9 K:BB ratio for Pensacola over 31 innings in his six starts in the Southern League. The 6-foot-8 right-hander shows four pitches that can miss bats, and he commands all four offerings very well for a 20-year-old. There may be some ups-and-downs for Perez in his first taste of major-league action, but everything is here for him to provide fantasy relevance from the minute he steps on the field.

Hill did not factor into the decision Wednesday, allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks over 3.2 innings against the Rockies. He struck out four.

Hill made it through three innings unscathed but ran into trouble in the fourth when the Rockies posted three runs on four hits, a walk and an error. The 43-year-old Hill has failed to make it through six innings in either of his last two starts after logging three quality starts in his previous four outings. The veteran left-hander sports a 4.35 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 36:13 K:BB through his first 41.1 innings this season.

Fried (forearm) is expected to be sidelined for at least two months, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Fried landed on the injured list Tuesday with a strained left forearm, and Bowman's report suggests that Atlanta is bracing for a long-term absence for its ace. It's not clear how long exactly the southpaw will be shut down, but he'll have to be built back up after that period before going out on a rehab assignment. A two-month timetable would put Fried back in action just ahead of the All-Star break in July.

Hendricks (shoulder) will make another rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Iowa, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Hendricks headed back to Chicago last week to work through some mechanical issues after surrendering 10 earned runs over his first two rehab starts while covering just 4.1 innings. Those tweaks seemed to have paid off, as he delivered five scoreless frames in his third rehab start Tuesday versus Triple-A Toledo. Nearing the end of his recovery from a capsule tear in his right shoulder, Hendricks might be a consideration for the Cubs rotation following his fourth outing on the farm.

Wright (shoulder) said Wednesday that he expects to be sidelined at least two months, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Max Fried (forearm) is also expected to miss at least two months, but Wright indicated that his absence could be even longer because his right shoulder strain is a recurrence of a previous injury. He will remain shut down until the shoulder fully heals before slowly ramping things back up. Fantasy managers probably shouldn't count on Wright returning until after the All-Star break.

Senzatela left Wednesday's start against the Pirates with right forearm tightness, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports. He allowed three runs on four hits and one walk in 2.2 innings before departing.

The right-hander will be considered day-to-day until he's re-examined in Denver on Thursday, but there's a chance that he'll be headed to the 15-day injured list even if his MRI reveals no structural damage to his forearm. His start against the Pirates was just his second of the season after Senzatela spent the first month on the IL while recovering from the surgery he underwent last August to repair a torn ACL in his left knee.

Rea appeared in relief during Wednesday's 8-1 loss to the Dodgers, recording two outs while allowing one earned run on two hits and two walks.

Rea had started in each of his prior five outings with the Brewers, but his usage out of the bullpen Wednesday confirms that the recently activated Adrian Houser has replaced him as Milwaukee's No. 5 starter. Given that the soft-tossing right-hander labored in his 27-pitch appearance Wednesday, it's possible that the Brewers option him to Triple-A Nashville in the coming days to transition him back to a starter's schedule in preparation for a big-league rotation spot opening back up later on this season.

Senzatela was removed in the third inning of Wednesday's game against the Pirates due to an unspecified injury, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports. He was charged with three earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out one over 2.2 innings.

After serving up a two-run home run to Andrew McCutchen, Senzatela received a visit on the mound from manager Bud Black and an assistant trainer. The trio talked for a few moments before Senzatela headed to the dugout after throwing just 51 pitches. It's possible Senzatela's early exit was merely precautionary, but the Rockies should provide an update on the matter later Wednesday. Senzatela was making just his second start since completing his recovery from a torn ACL and coming off the 15-day injured list last week.

Suarez (elbow) will be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Saturday's game against the Rockies at Coors Field, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Suarez will make his 2023 debut with the Phillies over the weekend after missing the first six weeks of the campaign due to a left elbow strain. Because his first outing will come on the road at one of baseball's least forgiving environments, fantasy managers may want to wait before activating Suarez. The 27-year-old recently wrapped up a productive three-outing rehab assignment this past Sunday, when he struck out three while allowing one run over five innings for Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that a decision on whether Syndergaard (finger) will be placed on the injured list won't come before Friday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Syndergaard was removed after one inning in Tuesday's win over the Brewers after he developed a cut on his right index finger. He was able to play catch Wednesday by covering the finger and also using a topical skin adhesive. Neither of those things would be allowed while Syndergaard pitches, however, so he'll have to show during a between-starts bullpen session this weekend that his finger is feeling well enough to keep him off the IL.
