Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said Tuesday that he's unsure when Fried (forearm) will be cleared for mound work, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Fried hasn't suffered a setback, but he'll remain limited to flat-ground throwing for a little while longer as he aims to make a setback-free recovery from the left forearm strain that sent him to the 15-day injured list in early May. He was transferred to the 60-day injured list Monday, which served as confirmation that the 29-year-old southpaw will be sidelined through at least the early part of July.

Urias (hamstring) threw live batting practice Tuesday in Cincinnati, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

It was his first time facing live hitters since he was placed on the injured list May 20 due to a left hamstring strain. Urias is traveling with the Dodgers and will likely be allowed to skip a minor-league rehab assignment if his side workouts continue to go smoothly. He appears to be tracking toward a weekend return at Philadelphia. Sunday's series finale is believed to be the target.

Atlanta general manager Alex Anthopoulos confirmed Tuesday that Smith-Shawver will make his first major-league start this weekend against the Nationals, Jeff Schultz of the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.

The start will either be Friday or Saturday. Whatever the case, it's a highly favorable matchup for the young right-hander at home in Truist Park. Smith-Shawver fanned three batters over 2.1 hitless innings of relief in his MLB debut Sunday at Arizona, building on the 1.09 ERA and 45:12 K:BB he had compiled through 33 innings (seven starts) this season in the minors. The young right-hander should be rostered everywhere as he slides into Atlanta's rotation following Monday's demotion of Michael Soroka.

Misiorowski was promoted Tuesday from Low-A Carolina to High-A Wisconsin, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Misiorowski earned the promotion after delivering a 3.04 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 46 strikeouts through 26.2 innings (nine starts) this season in the Carolina League. Selected in the second round of the 2022 MLB Draft, the fast-rising 21-year-old is the highest-rated pitching prospect in the Brewers' system.

Wesneski will start Tuesday's road game against the Angels.

As manager David Ross suggested over the weekend would be the case, Wesneski will end up re-entering the rotation as a replacement for Justin Steele (forearm), who was recently moved to the 15-day injured list. When Steele exited just three innings into his most recent start last Wednesday against the Rays, Wesneski came on in long relief and struck out four while allowing one earned run on one hit and two walks. Before making the relief appearance, Wesneski had started in each of his eight prior outings on the season with the Cubs, logging a 5.03 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 28:9 K:BB across 39.1 frames.

Rogers (biceps) will make another rehab start with Triple-A Jacksonville this weekend, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Rogers threw 70 pitches over five scoreless frames Sunday with Jacksonville, but the Marlins will ask him to make one more rehab appearance in order to get a little more stretched out. The goal is for the left-hander to throw six innings this weekend before rejoining the rotation next week.

Munoz was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

Munoz has just a 4.63 ERA and 21:16 K:BB across 23.1 innings at Gwinnett this season, but he yielded only one run with a 14:7 K:BB over his last 11 frames. He'll be making his major-league debut when he gets into a game.

Lugo (calf) will face live hitters soon and hopes to return to the Padres without needing a minor-league rehab assignment, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Lugo threw a 50-pitch bullpen session Friday and completed running drills Saturday before another scheduled bullpen Monday, so he appears to be well on his way to a return from the calf strain that led to his placement on the 15-day IL in mid-May. Though the right-hander hopes to rejoin the big club without a rehab stint, it's uncertain whether the organization will follow that plan given that Lugo has already spent more than the minimum time on the injured list. Whenever he does return, Lugo should have a spot in the rotation waiting for him, as Ryan Weathers has been mostly unimpressive as his fill-in.

Hendricks (0-2) took the loss against San Diego on Monday, allowing four runs on six hits and no walks while striking out four batters over six innings.

In Hendricks' third start of the campaign, he was able to go a season-high six innings, though he also yielded a season-high four earned runs. The veteran was efficient enough in throwing 54 of 84 pitches for a strike and issuing no free passes, but he also missed very few bats, notching just six swinging strikes. Hendricks has been so-so with a 4.70 ERA and 1.50 ERA through 15.1 innings thus far. His lack of strikeouts has long been a weight on his fantasy value, and that's not likely to change in his age-33 campaign.

Snell (2-6) earned the win over the Cubs on Monday, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out eight batters over six scoreless innings.

Snell didn't resolve his season-long command issues -- he handed out multiple free passes for the sixth straight outing -- but he yielded just two hits, both of which were singles. The left-hander also racked up 17 whiffs and fell one shy of his season high with eight strikeouts. Snell appears to be finding his groove, as he has posted back-to-back scoreless starts, during which he has surrendered just five hits and tallied 15 strikeouts over 12 innings. His ERA was up to 5.40 through May 19, but with three strong outings since then, it now stands at a much more respectable 4.06.
