Kelly has a blood clot in his right calf and is without an official timeline, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

Manager Torey Lovullo compared Kelly's situation to that of Ian Kennedy, who missed 18 days last year with a blood clot, though he wouldn't give any sort of timeline for Kelly. The right-hander was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday and will have an opportunity to get some added rest prior to a potential return after the All-Star break.

Urias (hamstring) is set to return to the Dodgers' rotation Saturday in Kansas City, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Urias felt good after his lone minor-league rehab start Sunday with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, during which he tallied eight strikeouts across four innings of one-run ball. He only threw 60 pitches in the outing, so there may be a limit to how far he can go against the Royals, but it's a highly favorable fantasy matchup nonetheless. The 26-year-old left-hander has been on the injured list since May 20 due to a hamstring strain.

Flaherty (hip) has been cleared to start Saturday against the Yankees, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Flaherty had been lined up to handle Thursday's series finale versus the Astros, but the Cardinals will give him a couple extra days of rest after he was scratched from his last turn in the rotation Sunday in London due to hip discomfort. The 27-year-old right-hander carries a disappointing 4.95 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 80:44 K:BB through 80 innings (15 starts) this season with St. Louis.

The Cubs expect Stroman (finger) to make his next start this weekend, Tony Andracki of Marquee Sports Network reports.

After being pulled from his start Sunday due to a blister on his right index finger, Stroman appears to be in line to make his next start -- tentatively scheduled for Saturday against Cleveland. It hasn't been confirmed just yet, but the Cubs will know for sure whether Stroman is good to go within the next couple of days.

Woodruff (shoulder) threw another bullpen session Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Woodruff threw 25 pitches -- fastballs and off-speed -- during his bullpen session Tuesday. He is still scheduled to throw a few more bullpen sessions before beginning a rehab assignment, and his return timeline is still undetermined. Woodruff will continue his throwing program in Milwaukee over the All-Star break, meaning a late-July or early August return is probable for the 30-year-old righty.

Kelly was placed on the 15-day injured list with right calf inflammation Tuesday.

Kelly struggled in his last start Sunday versus the Giants, allowing seven runs over five frames, and he will now be unavailable until after the All-Star break as he nurses his calf. Right-handed relievers Kevin Ginkel and Justin Martinez were called up from Triple-A Reno on Tuesday, though it's yet to be seen who will replace Kelly in Arizona's starting rotation. Top prospect Brandon Pfaadt could be an option to get called up from Reno.

The Mets recalled Peterson from Triple-A Syracuse ahead of his scheduled start Tuesday versus the Brewers at Citi Field.

Peterson is back in the big leagues for the first time since mid-May, stepping in as the Mets' new No. 5 starter after the struggling Tylor Megill was optioned to Syracuse last week. While spending the past five weeks in the minors, Peterson struck out 39 batters over 32 innings, but his other ratios (4.50 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, 12.9 BB%) during that six-start stretch weren't nearly as impressive. With Jose Quintana (rib) having now made three rehab starts in the minors and closing in on a return from the 60-day injured list, Peterson's stay in the New York rotation could be a brief one.

Estanista is on the 7-day injured list at Single-A Clearwater with an undisclosed injury, Baseball America reports.

The 21-year-old righty hasn't pitched since June 4. Estanista has a 6.05 ERA, 2.02 WHIP and 18 strikeouts in 19.1 innings across nine appearances for the Threshers.

Vela, who has been on the 7-day injured list all season at High-A Fort Wayne with a bone spur in his left elbow, has started a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League, Baseball America reports.

He made his first appearance of the season June 20, during which he recorded two outs while giving up two hits and two walks. The 24-year-old southpaw is a fringe prospect, having logged a 6.35 ERA and 1.99 WHIP in 22.2 innings at Double-A late last season after having more success at Single-A and High-A in 2021 and 2022.

Darvish will miss his scheduled start Tuesday against the Pirates due to illness, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Darvish's illness will sit him down for Tuesday's start, though it's certainly possible he returns before his next turn in the rotation -- tenatively scheduled for July 2 against Cincinnati. Reiss Knehr will come out of the Padres' bullpen to start in Darvish's place.
