Cabrera (shoulder) is expected to be activated from the 15-day injured list Tuesday and is listed as the probable starter for the Marlins' game against the Cardinals in St. Louis.

Though the Marlins haven't officially confirmed that Cabrera will rejoin the rotation Tuesday, all signs point to the right-hander being activated after he threw a five-inning simulated game last Thursday before rejoining the big club on its road trip over the weekend. Because he hasn't pitched in an official game since June 13, Cabrera could have some workload limitations as he steps back into the rotation in St. Louis, so fantasy managers in shallower leagues may not want to jump the gun and activate him Tuesday.

Smyly (7-7) took the loss against Washington on Monday, allowing five runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over six innings.

It didn't take long for Smyly to fall behind in the contest, as he gave up a two-run home run to Jeimer Candelario in the first inning. The southpaw ended up surrendering five runs in the contest, the fifth time in 19 starts he's yielded at least that many runs in a game. Smyly at least managed to make it through six frames after going no more than four innings in each of his previous three appearances, but he wasn't able to put an end to his recent struggles. Over his past four outings, he's gone 0-3 while compiling a 9.87 ERA, 2.08 WHIP and 17:9 K:BB in 17.1 innings.

Gore (5-7) earned the win over the Cubs on Monday, allowing five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six batters over 6.1 innings.

Gore was staked to an early lead and gave up just one run through five innings, but he yielded a two-run home run in each of the sixth and seventh frames to lose his quality start. Still, the left-hander pitched well enough to earn the win, just his second over his past 14 outings. Gore had has his share of ups-and-downs this season, giving up five or more runs on four occasions and one or fewer seven different times (though one of those was a rain-shortened appearance his last time out that lasted only 1.1 innings). All of that has added up to a 4.59 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 10.7 K/9, which lines up pretty closely with his marks as a rookie last year.

Luzardo allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out two batters over four-plus innings in a no-decision against St. Louis on Monday.

Luzardo had been on an impressive roll coming into the contest, notching five straight quality starts during which he posted a 1.14 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 40:6 K:BB over 31.2 innings. That magic came to least a temporary end Monday, as the left-hander tied a season-low by completing just four frames while posting more walks (three) than strikeouts (two). Luzardo had issued two or fewer free passes in 12 straight outings heading into the matchup, but his lack of control was a major factor in his undoing, as he threw just 52 of 92 pitches for a strike. Given his recent dominance, there's still plenty to be excited about for fantasy managers who roster Luzardo, and he'll look to bounce back in his second start of the week, which is tentatively lined up to come at home versus Colorado this weekend.

Mikolas (6-5) earned the win over Miami on Monday, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out three batters over six innings. He did not issue any walks.

Mikolas was coming off a start against Washington just three days earlier during which he tossed only 34 pitches in a game that was suspended due to inclement weather. Because of the brief nature of that outing, the right-hander was able to take the mound again Monday on very short rest, and he handled a full workload with 92 pitches across six frames. Mikolas gave up a pair of homers but managed to hold the Marlins to just three runs and notch his eighth quality start of the campaign. The veteran hurler hasn't quite matched his strong numbers from last season, but he's been a mostly steady arm for St. Louis with a 4.14 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 83:24 K:BB over a team-high 121.2 innings.

Priester (0-1) took the loss Monday, allowing seven runs on seven hits and two walks over 5.1 innings against Cleveland. He struck out two.

Priester started strong with three perfect innings before things unraveled. He gave up three runs over the next two innings before Cleveland tagged him with four runs in the sixth. The 22-year-old threw 47 of 73 pitches for strikes in his MLB debut. If he sticks around for another start, Priester is currently lined up to face the Angels on the road this weekend.

Sheehan (3-0) allowed four runs on five hits and three walks over five innings Monday, striking out two and earning a win against Baltimore.

Sheehan coughed up three runs over the first two innings but was able to settle in and improve to 3-0. The 23-year-old has struggled in his last two outings; he's coughed up nine runs with a 6:7 K:BB through 8.2 innings during that span. His ERA now sits at 4.91 through five career MLB appearances. Sheehan's next start is projected to be in Texas this weekend.

Miley was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday due to left elbow discomfort.

Miley last pitched July 9 against the Reds and picked up the win after firing six shutout innings, but there had been no word of any injury until Monday. The move is retroactive to Friday, so he'll be eligible for activation beginning July 29. Colin Rea is the likely candidate to make Miley's next scheduled start Wednesday against the Phillies.

Priester had his contract selected by the Pirates and he'll officially start Monday against the Guardians.

Operating as one of Pittsburgh's best prospects, Priester will get his first shot at big-league competition Monday. The right-hander has compiled a solid 4.31 ERA and 8.7 K/9 ratio in Triple-A this season and he'll take on a Cleveland lineup that's been slumping lately, averaging 3.8 runs scored over their last 10 contests.

Washington claimed Munoz off waivers from Atlanta on Monday and optioned him to Triple-A Rochester.

Before designating Munoz for assignment last week, Atlanta appeared to have abandoned the idea of developing the right-hander as a starter, as he was deployed in relief in all but four of his 22 appearances with Triple-A Gwinnett, Double-A Mississippi and the rookie-level Florida Complex League this season while pitching to a 3.89 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 40:27 K:BB across 39.1 innings. The 23-year-old boasts a mid-90s fastball and a plus slider, and that two-pitch mix could be enough for him to emerge as a useful relief prospect down the road. Though he'll stay at the Triple-A level with his new organization, Munoz should at least have an easier pathway to reaching the big leagues with Washington.
