Webb (9-10) took the loss Friday against Atlanta, allowing five runs on six hits and a walk while striking out one over 5.1 innings.

Webb has given up nine runs over 11.1 innings across his last two starts, both coming against Atlanta. He's now gone four starts without a win, though he should benefit from getting away from the league's most powerful offense. Webb has a 3.51 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 163:27 K:BB through 174.1 innings over 27 starts this season. The right-hander is lined up for another challenging matchup at home against Cincinnati next week.

Freeland did not factor into the decision Friday, allowing three runs on eight hits and zero walks over six innings against the Orioles. He struck out three.

It was the 10th time in his past 11 starts that Freeland has allowed three or more earned runs. However, despite allowing eight hits including a couple of homers, Freeland limited the damage and left with the lead after six innings, although his bullpen couldn't make it hold up. He will take a season ERA of 5.00 into his next start, currently slated to take place at home next week against Atlanta.

Lynn (10-9) yielded four runs (three earned) on 10 hits and a walk over six-plus innings Friday, striking out one and earning a win against Boston.

Lynn was tagged with three runs in the first two innings but his offense was able to pick him up later in the contest. While it was his worst outing since being acquired by the Dodgers, he's now 4-0 with a 1.70 ERA in five starts with his new team. For the season, Lynn owns a 5.56 ERA with a 170:51 K:BB through 150.2 frames. He's currently lined up for a home tilt with Atlanta next week.

Darvish (8-10) allowed five runs on six hits and a walk over four innings Friday, striking out three and taking a loss against Milwaukee.

Darvish's night was ruined by an ugly third inning in which the Brewers plated five runs. After posting a 2.55 ERA in his first six starts after the All-Star break, he's coughed up 13 runs in 16 frames (7.31 ERA) over his last three outings. On the year, he's sporting a 4.56 ERA with a 141:43 K:BB through 136.1 frames. Darvish is currently expected to face the Giants at home next week.

Woodruff (3-1) yielded one run on three hits and three walks over six innings Friday, striking out 11 and earning a victory over San Diego.

Woodruff dominated with his first double-digit strikeout performance of the season Friday. The lone blemish on his line was Manny Machado's solo shot in the fourth inning, and Woodruff ended his outing with four straight punchouts. He lowered his season ERA to 2.65 and has allowed two or fewer runs in five of his six appearances in 2023. His next start is projected to come on the road against the Cubs next week.

Mikolas (6-10) took the loss Friday, allowing five runs on eight hits and zero walks over six innings against the Phillies. He struck out three.

Among the eight hits Mikolas allowed were six extra-base hits, including five doubles. The last one was a solo home run by Alec Bohm in the sixth. The eminently hittable Mikolas has now allowed 52 hits with only 30 strikeouts over his past 42.2 innings, leading to a 6.12 ERA. He'll look to turn things around in his next start, currently scheduled for next week at home against the Padres.

Sanchez (2-3) earned the win Friday, allowing two runs on five hits and zero walks over six innings against St. Louis. He struck out six.

Sanchez dug a hole early, allowing a two-run homer to Paul Goldschmidt in the first inning, but he then settled down and didn't allow another run the remainder of his outing. Sanchez has provided quality innings for the Phillies this year, allowing three or fewer runs in 12 of 13 starts. He'll take a 3.33 ERA into his next start, which is currently scheduled to take place Wednesday afternoon at home against the Angels.

Garrett (7-5) took the loss Friday, allowing three runs on seven hits and no walks over six innings against the Nationals. He struck out three.

The big blow came in the sixth inning when Carter Kieboom tagged Garrett for a two-run shot to extend the Nationals' lead. The southpaw has just 18 strikeouts in 28 innings so far this month after he fanned 117 in 106 frames through the end of July. Garrett has a 3.54 ERA in August though, and his control continues to be immaculate, as he hasn't walked more than two in a start since late May.

Adon (2-0) picked up the win Friday, yielding two hits and no walks over six shutout innings in a 7-4 victory over the Marlins. He struck out three.

Adon carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning before Jazz Chisholm hit a single up the middle. The Marlins added an additional single in the frame, but Adon escaped unscathed by getting Josh Bell swinging. The biggest number of the night for Adon was the zero free passes, as the 25-year-old has struggled with his control in his career. This was his six appearance and fourth start for the Nationals this season and he's expected to remain in their rotation the rest of the way. Outings like the one he put up Friday in Miami figure to be atypical, however.

Hendricks (5-7) took the loss Friday, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk over 5.2 innings against the Pirates. He struck out four.

Hendricks allowed a leadoff single to Ke'Bryan Hayes followed by a Bryan Reynolds double that eventually led to both Pirates runs, but he held the Bucs in check for the rest of his outing. The crafty vet now has a 3.13 ERA over his past four starts and holds a solid 3.80 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP and 68 strikeouts over 104.1 innings on the season. His next start is currently scheduled to take place in the friendly confines of Wrigley Field next week against Milwaukee.
