Adon (2-0) picked up the win Friday, yielding two hits and no walks over six shutout innings in a 7-4 victory over the Marlins. He struck out three.

Adon carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning before Jazz Chisholm hit a single up the middle. The Marlins added an additional single in the frame, but Adon escaped unscathed by getting Josh Bell swinging. The biggest number of the night for Adon was the zero free passes, as the 25-year-old has struggled with his control in his career. This was his six appearance and fourth start for the Nationals this season and he's expected to remain in their rotation the rest of the way. Outings like the one he put up Friday in Miami figure to be atypical, however.

Hendricks (5-7) took the loss Friday, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk over 5.2 innings against the Pirates. He struck out four.

Hendricks allowed a leadoff single to Ke'Bryan Hayes followed by a Bryan Reynolds double that eventually led to both Pirates runs, but he held the Bucs in check for the rest of his outing. The crafty vet now has a 3.13 ERA over his past four starts and holds a solid 3.80 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP and 68 strikeouts over 104.1 innings on the season. His next start is currently scheduled to take place in the friendly confines of Wrigley Field next week against Milwaukee.

Keller (11-8) earned the win Friday, allowing four hits and one walk over eight scoreless innings against the Cubs. He struck out six.

Keller needed only 93 pitches to complete eight innings, which marked his second longest outing of the season in stifling the Cubs to earn his 11th win, and he might have been allowed to go for the complete-game shutout if he hadn't taken a comebacker off the leg in the eighth. Keller did finish the frame, however. The first-time All-Star had struggled in his first five starts following the break with a 9.11 ERA over 26.2 innings. However, in his past three starts he's regained his form, allowing only three earned runs with 25 strikeouts in 20 innings for a 1.35 ERA. Keller will look to continue rolling in his next start, currently scheduled to take place next Wednesday in Kansas City.

Lodolo (tibia) has officially been pulled off his rehab assignment, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Lodolo suffered another stress reaction in his left tibia during his third rehab start with Triple-A Louisville on Sunday, which is the same injury that has kept him out for the bulk of the season. While no timetable has been established, it seems unlikely at this point that he'll be able to make it back before the end of the regular season.

Lively (pectoral) could be activated from the 15-day injured list Saturday, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Lively has rejoined the Reds in Arizona rather than making another rehab start. He could start Saturday's game, but a piggyback situation with Brett Kennedy also seems to be on the table. Lively has been out since early August with a right pectoral strain.

Rogers (lat) has started playing catch at Single-A Jupiter, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Rogers was initially placed on the injured list in April with a left biceps strain, but he suffered a partial tear in his right lat in late June, extending his stay on the IL. Rogers still has a long way to go in his rehab process, but the news of him throwing again leaves room for optimism regarding a return in September.

Buehler (elbow) will continue throwing to hitters at the Dodgers' training complex in Arizona, as he has yet to toss more than one inning, per MLB.com.

Buehler began throwing to live hitters Aug. 9 and has continued to take part in one-inning simulated games. He appears to have avoided any setbacks, but the fact that he hasn't yet gone more than one frame suggests that he's still several weeks away from a return. Buehler will eventually need to head out on a minor-league rehab assignment before he's cleared to make his 2023 debut with the big-league club.

The Reds are now listing Greene as their probable starting pitcher for Friday's game in Arizona, the Associated Press reports.

Cincinnati initially planned on having Greene take the hill Saturday, which would have allowed him to start on five days' rest after he was blasted for nine runs (eight earned) on 10 hits -- including five home runs -- and three walks over three innings against the Blue Jays in his return from the 60-day injured list last Sunday. It's unclear what prompted the Reds to change plans and keep Greene on his typical four days' rest, but he'll presumably be flipping spots with Brett Kennedy, who is now expected to start Saturday's game.

Anderson (shoulder) allowed three runs over 2.2 innings Thursday in his first rehab start with Triple-A Albuquerque.

Anderson has been sidelined for just over a month with right shoulder inflammation but is ready to get built back up. He should either rejoin the Rockies' rotation or perhaps be used as a long reliever once he's deemed ready.

Corbin (9-11) earned the win Thursday, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks over six innings against the Yankees. He struck out seven.

Corbin struggled with his command early on, surrendering a solo home run to Aaron Judge on a hanging four-seamer in the first inning and then allowing a two-run shot to Gleyber Torres in the third. However, the lefty was able to recover after that, making it through six frames for the third time in his last four starts while fanning seven -- his second-highest strikeout total of the season. Corbin has now won his last three decisions and currently holds a 2.70 ERA through four August starts.
