Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Friday that Henry (elbow) could be a bullpen option in the NLCS against the Phillies, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Henry has been on the shelf since late July due to inflammation in his left elbow, but he resumed throwing off a mound toward the end of the regular season and faced live hitters in Friday's intrasquad game at Chase Field. Prior to the lengthy IL stint, the 26-year-old southpaw held a 4.15 ERA and 64:35 K:BB in 89 innings (16 starts, one relief appearance) with Arizona.

Kelly will start Game 2 of the NLCS on Tuesday against Philadelphia, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Kelly was dominant in his postseason debut against the Dodgers, throwing 6.1 scoreless frames while striking out five batters and walking two. He'll follow Game 1 starter Zac Gallen in the D-backs' rotation and look to contain a surging Phillies offense that posted a .938 OPS in the NLDS.

Gallen will start Monday against the Phillies in Game 1 of the NLCS, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Gallen has allowed four runs across 11.1 innings over his two postseason starts, earning himself the honor of starting Game 1 of Arizona's first NLCS appearance in 16 years. The right-hander surrendered two runs over 5.2 innings while striking out three batters and walking two during his lone 2023 regular-season matchup with the Phillies in May.

Woodruff underwent surgery Friday to repair the anterior capsule in his right shoulder, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Three days after general manager Matt Arnold expressed optimism regarding the right-hander's status for 2024, the Brewers now expect him to miss most if not all of next season. Woodruff missed four months of the 2023 season due to shoulder issues, and his capsular injury also kept him out of the NL Wild Card Series against the Diamondbacks. He will be entering his final year of team control in 2024, though his resume could still encourage Milwaukee to sign him to a long-term contract and keep him around for his return to the mound. Woodruff will turn 31 years old before the start of the 2024 campaign.

Wright underwent surgery Wednesday to repair a torn capsule in his right shoulder.

Wright will miss the entire 2024 campaign as he recovers from the procedure. He strained his shoulder multiple times this season and posted an ugly 6.97 ERA and 1.84 WHIP through 31 innings when he was healthy -- a sharp decline from his 3.19 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 2022.

Suarez earned the win in Thursday's 3-1 victory over Atlanta in Game 4 of the NLDS, allowing one run on three hits across five innings. He struck out two.

Suarez had a solid start keeping runners off the basepaths, and while he by no means dominated, he kept the Atlanta offense at bay to hand the ball off with a lead. His only blemish came on a changeup that Austin Riley took deep from outside below the zone in the fourth inning. Suarez now has a sterling 1.04 ERA and 0.58 WHIP with six strikeouts across 8.2 innings this postseason. The southpaw will tentatively line up to take the mound again next week against the Diamondbacks in the NLCS.

Strider took the loss in Thursday's 3-1 defeat to the Phillies in Game 4 of the NLDS, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks across 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Strider was not as sharp as his start in Game 1 of the series and once again found himself on the wrong side of the decision. The bulk of the damage came on two home runs from Nick Castellanos in the fourth and sixth innings, both of which came on pitches Strider left inside to the pull-happy outfielder. Although Strider struggled with allowing constant traffic on the basepaths, he also racked up 19 whiffs, underscoring the rollercoaster command that plagued him in this start. His postseason concluded with a 2.84 ERA and 1.34 WHIP across 12.2 innings with 15 strikeouts.

Kershaw is considering receiving an additional examination of his left shoulder, Andy McCullough of The Athletic reports.

Kershaw was initially injured in late June, with the Dodgers providing only a vague "left shoulder inflammation" diagnosis. He returned following a six-week absence and pitched well down the stretch of the regular season. His velocity was diminished, though, and he was bludgeoned for six runs while recording just one out in his lone postseason start. Kershaw will be a free agent this offseason and expects to contemplate for several weeks before deciding whether to continue his career. The condition of his shoulder certainly could play a big factor in his decision.

Suarez will start against Atlanta in Game 4 of the NLDS on Thursday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Suarez had a strong outing during Game 1 of the NLDS, throwing 3.2 scoreless frames while striking out four batters en route to a Philadelphia victory. Atlanta's lineup developed a reputation for crushing left-handed pitchers in the regular season; however, the team has gotten off to a slow start in the postseason, and Suarez could be able to once again capitalize on Atlanta's collective slump.

Strider will start Thursday in Game 4 of the NLDS in Philadelphia, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

This was merely a formality, as Strider started Game 1 and will be on regular rest Thursday. He took the loss in the series opener in spite of a terrific effort which saw him allow two runs (one earned) while striking out eight over seven innings. The Phillies have not yet confirmed their Game 4 starter, but it's expected to be Ranger Suarez.
