Musgrove (2-2) allowed three runs on seven hits and four walks over six innings Monday, striking out three and earning a win over the Brewers.

Musgrove produced a fairly lackluster line, but it was his second quality start of the year. He coughed up all three runs in the first two innings before settling in for a decent outing. The 31-year-old righty still hasn't found a groove in 2024; Musgrove is sporting a 6.29 ERA with a 20:11 K:BB through 24.1 frames. He forced just six swinging strikes Monday, tying his lowest mark of the year. Musgrove is currently in line to face the Blue Jays at home this weekend.

Freeland suffered an apparent right shoulder injury on a play at the plate during Monday's game against the Phillies, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

On a night when the Rockies were dealing with a short-handed bench, Freeland was called upon to pinch run in the top of the ninth inning and was involved in a collision at the plate with Philadelphia pitcher Jeff Hoffman. Freeland was in obvious pain walking off the field, though fortunately, he was holding his non-throwing shoulder as he headed for further evaluation. The southpaw will be considered day-to-day until more information on his injury is released. He had tentatively been in line to make his next start during this weekend's home series versus Seattle.

Buehler (elbow/hand) is set for make a fourth minor-league rehab start Thursday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Buehler has been working his way back from the Tommy John surgery that he underwent in August 2022. During his most recent rehab outing last Friday with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, Buehler was lifted after two innings due to his right hand being hit by a comebacker, but his early exit has since been deemed precautionary. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that if Buehler is able to reach the 80-to-90-pitch threshold in his upcoming rehab start Thursday, the right-hander will be a strong candidate to return from the 15-day injured list next week to rejoin the big-league rotation. The right-hander hasn't appeared in an MLB game ince suffering the elbow injury over a year and a half ago, but he certainly looks to be on the cusp of his long awaited return to the Dodgers rotation.

The Nationals recalled Parker from Triple-A Rochester on Monday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Parker started in one game for Rochester, tossing four scoreless innings with one hit, one walk and five strikeouts. The 24-year-old left-hander will make his major-league debut Monday against a formidable Dodgers lineup.

The Dodgers plan to call up Knack from Triple-A Oklahoma City this week, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

It's unclear whether Knack will be making a start, but the Dodgers haven't named a starter for games Tuesday and Wednesday versus Washington and have an opening in the rotation with Bobby Miller (shoulder) recently moving to the injured list and Walker Buehler (elbow) in line for one more rehab start before being activated from the IL. Whenever Knack does pitch, he will be making his major-league debut. The 26-year-old holds a 4.02 ERA and 16:4 K:BB over 15.2 innings covering his first three starts of the season at Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Marlins manager Skip Schumaker said Monday that Garrett (shoulder) experienced a "dead arm" after his last bullpen session, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

The issue isn't related to the left shoulder injury which has kept Garrett out all season, but it nonetheless could prevent the left-hander from making his season debut this week. The southpaw threw 86 pitches in his second rehab start with Triple-A Jacksonville this past Friday, and his return from the 15-day injured list appeared imminent. Garrett will undergo testing on his arm just to be safe, so it's no longer a lock that he'll rejoin the rotation this week.

Garrett (shoulder) struck out four and allowed four earned runs on six hits and and zero walks across six innings in his latest rehab start Friday with Triple-A Jacksonville.

Making his second rehab start at Triple-A, Garrett built up to 86 pitches (59 strikes) and generally executed during his time on the mound, aside from serving up two home runs. Given his high pitch count, Garrett looks to be fully stretched out at this point and ready to return from the 15-day injured list. It's unclear who Garrett might replace in the rotation, as both Max Meyer and Ryan Weathers are less established at the big-league level but have performed well through three starts, while Trevor Rogers (4.80 ERA, 1.87 WHIP over 15 innings) and A.J. Puk (5.91 ERA, 2.44 WHIP in 10.2 innings) have fallen short of expectations. Puk is tentatively slated to start Wednesday's game against the Giants, but he could be moved to the bullpen thereafter if the Marlins want to clear a permanent spot in the five-man rotation for Garrett. If the Marlins don't change plans and have Garrett start for Puk on Wednesday, the former's first start of the season with the big club would likely come this weekend versus the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

Miami optioned Meyer to Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Meyer limited Atlanta to just one run over six innings in his last start on Saturday and boasts a 2.12 ERA through three outings. This season. However, he was destined to have his workload curtailed eventually after missing all of 2023 following Tommy John surgery, and the Marlins have elected to do it now with Edward Cabrera (shoulder) back and Braxton Garrett's (shoulder) arrival imminent. Meyer should re-enter Miami's rotation eventually, but it's difficult to say when that might happen, leaving his fantasy managers in a bit of a bind.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Saturday that Senga (shoulder) has resumed throwing from 120 feet and should begin playing catch off a mound this week, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

The right-hander was diagnosed with a shoulder strain at the start of training camp, and the Mets have been very cautious with his recovery so far. Senga's still been making progress though, and beginning to throw off a mound will be a big step. He'll be eligible to come off the 60-day injured list near the end of May, and at this stage that appears to be a realistic timeline for his 2024 debut.

Cabrera (shoulder) will be activated from the injured list and start Monday against the Giants, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

The plan had been for Cabrera to make one more rehab start, but he'll make his season debut Monday instead after A.J. Puk had to be pushed back due to illness. Cabrera has been on the shelf with a right shoulder impingement but pitched well in three rehab starts, allowing two runs (one earned) with a 12:8 K:BB over 12.2 frames. The righty went 5.2 innings and threw 82 pitches in his last rehab outing, so he should be able to handle a relatively normal workload Monday.
