Schultz took a no-decision Saturday against the Nationals, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks in six innings. He struck out eight.

Despite matching a season high in walks allowed and tossing only 49 of his 85 pitches for strikes, the rookie left-hander still managed to deliver an efficient outing. Schultz fanned a season-best eight, also producing his longest start through his first three major-league outings. He's fared well in his first taste of big-league action, posting a 3.52 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 18:9 K:BB over 15.1 innings, but Schultz is set to face a tough test in San Diego in his next appearance.

Springs (3-2) took the loss against the Rangers on Saturday, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts over six innings.

Springs entered the sixth inning with a 3-2 lead but surrendered a two-run homer off the bat of Josh Jung before finishing the frame. The southpaw has now allowed 11 earned runs over consecutive losses after holding opponents to just four earned runs through his first four starts. He'll carry a 3.79 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 31:11 K:BB across 35.2 innings into a home matchup with the Guardians next weekend.

Varland recorded his second save of the season in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Guardians, allowing one run on three hits and a walk in the ninth inning. He struck out two.

Getting his first save chance after Toronto manager John Schneider officially announced that Jeff Hoffman would no longer be viewed as the team's primary closer, Varland seemed to buckle under the pressure, throwing 19 of 30 pitches for strikes as he gave up his first earned run of 2026. The right-hander kept his focus, however, and fanned Bo Naylor and Brayan Rocchio to end the threat. Varland still sports a 0.64 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 21:4 K:BB through 14 innings, but a repeat of Saturday's performance might encourage Schneider to give other relievers a look in the ninth.

McClanahan (2-2) earned the win against the Twins on Saturday, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out seven over five scoreless innings.

McClanahan cruised through five frames, throwing 60 of 86 pitches for strikes while generating 15 whiffs and limiting the Twins to only singles. While the southpaw has yielded two earned runs or fewer in four of five outings this season, he has yet to pitch beyond the fifth inning as he continues to ease his way back from a lengthy absence due to Tommy John surgery and nerve issues in his arm. He owns a 3.91 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 25:13 K:BB across 23 innings and lines up for a home matchup against the Giants next weekend.

Gausman (2-1) picked up the win Saturday, allowing two runs on six hits over 6.2 innings in a 5-3 victory over the Guardians. He struck out three without walking a batter.

The veteran righty tossed 63 of 91 pitches for strikes en route to his fourth quality start of the season in six trips to the mound. Gausman's three Ks were a season low, however, and after racking up a stunning 21:0 K:BB through his first two starts, he's managed just a 17:7 K:BB in 23 frames over his last four. He's been effective either way and will take a 2.57 ERA and 0.94 WHIP into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in Minnesota.

Ober (2-1) took the loss against the Rays on Saturday, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts over six innings.

Ober allowed a two-run homer in the fourth inning, but the Twins were unable to muster any offense before he departed at 83 pitches. The 30-year-old generated just three whiffs but limited the Rays to three hard-hit balls and has now completed six or more innings in three straight outings, including back-to-back quality starts. He'll carry a 3.94 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 27:11 K:BB across 32 innings into a home matchup against the Blue Jays next week.

Cantillo (1-1) took the loss Saturday as the Guardians were downed 5-3 by the Blue Jays, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk over five-plus innings. He struck out four.

The left-hander held Toronto scoreless for three innings before getting tagged for a solo shot by Kazuma Okamoto in the fourth. Cantillo ran out of gas in the sixth, putting the first two batters aboard before getting the hook after 89 pitches (60 strikes) and watching both come around to score. Cantillo has completed six innings just once this season in six trips to the mound as he continues to have trouble staying effective deeper into games. He'll take a 3.56 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 34:13 K:BB through 30.1 innings into his next outing, which is set to come on the road next weekend against the A's.

Woo didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 11-9 win over the Cardinals, surrendering seven runs on nine hits -- including four home runs -- over three innings. He struck out one without walking a batter.

The two teams combined for eight homers in total, and Woo accounted for half of them before getting the hook after only 53 pitches (39 strikes). The right-hander came into the game having not served up a homer in his first 32 innings of 2026, but a correction was likely overdue considering he got tagged for 26 long balls in 186.2 regular-season innings last year. Woo will take a 3.86 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 27:6 K:BB through 35 frames into his next start, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Royals.

Rogers (2-3) took the loss Saturday, giving up three runs on four hits and two walks over 1.2 innings as the Orioles were routed 17-1. He struck out two.

A 10-run ninth inning by the visitors made the final score look much worse, but Rogers dug an early hole for the O's when he couldn't escape the second inning. The southpaw got lifted after 62 pitches (38 strikes), and he's now been tagged for 13 runs (12 earned) in 11.1 innings over his last three starts. The rough stretch has left Rogers with a 4.75 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 27:10 K:BB through 30.1 innings on the season, and he'll try to turn things around in his next outing, which is set to come on the road next weekend against the Yankees.

The Yankees reinstated Weathers from the paternity list Saturday.

After spending three days away from the team to welcome a new addition to his family, Weathers will return to start Saturday's game against the Astros. The 26-year-old southpaw threw 7.1 shutout innings against the Royals during his most recent start, though he'll face a more difficult task Saturday in keeping quiet an Astros lineup that currently boasts the fourth-best OPS in MLB (.784). Angel Chivilli (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move.
