German (2-2) earned the win Wednesday, pitching seven shutout innings versus the Orioles. He allowed three hits and a walk with six strikeouts.

German was highly effective in this AL East matchup, as no Oriole got past second base on his watch. It's the first time in four starts he hasn't allowed a run. The right-hander lowered his ERA to 4.05 with a 1.30 WHIP and 19:4 K:BB across 20 innings this season. The 28-year-old's next start is scheduled for Tuesday at home versus the Astros.

Mize won't pitch Wednesday against the White Sox since the game was postponed due to inclement weather.

The game will be made up via a straight doubleheader Thursday. According to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press, Mize will start Game 1 while Matthew Boyd takes the mound for Game 2.

There will likely be a bullpen game Saturday and Ross Stripling (forearm) could return from the IL to start Sunday. Ryu could be activated to start May 6 in Oakland if he misses the minimum amount of time.

Skubal was expected to pitch in some capacity in this game, but he had been piggybacking with Michael Fulmer recently. Garcia may be serving as little more than a glorified opener for Kent Emanuel, who will be available to pitch after covering 8.2 innings of long relief last Saturday following Odorizzi's early departure.

Kremer was recalled from the Orioles' alternate training site ahead of his scheduled start against the Yankees on Wednesday.

Kremer will make his fourth start of the season Wednesday, and he could reclaim a spot in the rotation since the Orioles have just one day off in the next two weeks. Kremer posted a 6.75 ERA and 14:6 K:BB in 10.2 innings across his first three starts of the year.

Springs (1-0) was credited with the win in a victory over the Athletics on Tuesday, allowing an earned run on one hit over one inning. He also uncorked a wild pitch and recorded a strikeout.

Springs allowed a Mitch Moreland run-scoring sacrifice fly but was otherwise sharp while getting 12 of his 17 pitches into the strike zone, and he became the pitcher of record when Brett Phillips gave the Rays the lead for good with a solo home run in home half of the sixth inning. The 28-year-old had endured his worst outing of the season his last time out Wednesday against the Royals, so Springs' effort Tuesday was certainly a welcome bounce-back performance.
