Singer (heel) threw a bullpen session and is on track to make his scheduled start Wednesday against Cleveland, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

He took a comebacker off his heel in Friday's start against the Twins, leading to a short outing. Singer has been mostly excellent this season, logging a 3.09 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 26 strikeouts in 23.1 innings (five starts).

Springs has secured his second win and fourth hold over his last two trips to the mound, allowing two hits over 2.2 scoreless innings with two strikeouts in that span.

Springs picked up the victory with a perfect frame against the Astros on Sunday before notching a hold with 1.2 innings immediately following Tyler Glasnow's six-inning quality start Monday. The 28-year-old pitched to 6.40 and 7.08 ERAs the past two seasons, but his 3.55 figure and 1.03 WHIP over his first 12 appearances this season appear to be helping him build trust with manager Kevin Cash.

Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said during an appearance on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM that Boyd will start Sunday against the Twins "if all things continue to progress" with his sore left knee.

The Tigers' decision not to place Boyd on the injured list after he was removed from his April 29 start due to knee tendinitis would seem to support the notion that the southpaw is trending toward a return to action this weekend. Though Boyd remains on the active roster, he'll still end up missing one turn through the rotation. Michael Fulmer will pick up a start Tuesday against the Red Sox in place of Boyd in what Hinch suggested will likely be a bullpen game.

Arihara (finger) will play catch Tuesday, Sam Blum of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Arihara received an injection into an area of his right middle finger that had a callus. If he's still feeling discomfort following Tuesday's session, he'll likely be placed on the injured list. However, if he makes it through without an issue, Arihara will be allowed to pitch on his next turn through the rotation. His scheduled start Wednesday is being skipped after two ineffective outings that might be related to the finger issue.

Lynch didn't factor into the decision in Monday's 8-6 loss to Cleveland, giving up three runs on four hits and four walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out three.

Making his major-league debut, the 24-year-old lefty wasn't exactly sharp, but he battled over his 74 pitches (46 strikes) and exited the game with the Royals ahead 3-1, only to watch Scott Barlow allow two inherited runners to score. With Jakob Junis looking awful and taking the loss out of the 'pen, Lynch's spot in the rotation is likely secure for now, but he'll need to find better control if he wants to stick in the long run.

Civale didn't factor into the decision in Monday's 8-6 win over the Royals, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks over 5.2 innings while striking out two.

The right-hander tossed exactly 100 pitches (61 strikes) before exiting, leaving runners on first and second in a 3-3 game, but Bryan Shaw was able to keep those inherited runners from scoring. Civale began the season with three straight quality starts but hasn't gotten one in his last three turns, and he'll take a 3.20 ERA and lackluster 28:12 K:BB through 39.1 innings into his next outing.

Kremer tossed six innings Monday in Seattle, permitting two hits, two walks and one run with four strikeouts in a 5-3 win. He did not factor in the decision.

This was far and away Kremer's best start of the year as it was his first time going at least five innings and allowing fewer than three runs. The strong performance most likely earned him a bit more security as part of Baltimore's rotation.

Quintana (0-3) allowed five runs on six hits and a walk over 3.2 frames Monday, striking out nine and taking a loss against the Rays.

Quintana started Monday's game on short notice and the Rays took advantage. He gave up five hits and four runs during the third inning before Willy Adames hammered a 446-foot solo blast off him in the fourth. The 32-year-old lefty now owns a brutal 10.59 ERA through 17 innings and he's allowed at least four runs in all but one start this season. Quintana is expected to face the Dodgers at home this weekend.

Glasnow (4-1) yielded three runs on four hits and four walks over six innings Monday, striking out eight and earning a win over the Angels.

Glasnow rolled through five scoreless innings before he coughed up two homers in the sixth to Shohei Ohtani and Anthony Rendon. After he issued just three walks in 19.2 innings to begin the season, the flamethrowing righty has now walked 12 batters in 24 innings over his last four starts. Still, he's sporting a strong 2.06 ERA and 64:15 K:BB. Glasnow is projected to face the Athletics on the road this weekend.

Matz (4-2) allowed five runs on seven hits and a walk over five innings Monday, striking out six and taking a loss against Oakland.

The Athletics got to Matz early, scoring three runs in the second inning including a two-run shot by Stephen Piscotty. He later served up another two-run homer, this time off the bat of Ramon Laureano. His season ERA spiked to 4.78 with a 33:10 K:BB over 32 innings. Matz is lined up to take the mound in Houston this weekend.
