Perez (1-2) earned the win and struck out six in 6.1 innings while allowing four runs (one earned) on five hits in a 6-4 victory Tuesday over Kansas City.

Perez faced the minimum through the first four innings, erasing the lone single allowed on a double-play ball. In the fifth, two hits led to an earned run. The lefty likely could have completed the seventh inning unscathed but consecutive errors by Charlie Culberson to begin the frame led to three unearned runs. Over his last four starts, he has a remarkable 0.68 ERA and 0.68 WHIP in 26.1 innings. His next start will likely be early next week against the Angels.

Keller (1-3) took the loss after giving up six runs (five earned) over 5.2 innings in a 6-4 defeat Tuesday in Texas. He allowed nine hits and a walk while striking out three.

After retiring the first two batters on groundouts, Keller gave up a solo homer to Corey Seager and three consecutive singles in the three-run first. Seager tagged him for another solo shot in the third and the Rangers manufactured runs in the fourth and sixth. It was arguably his least effective start of the season with the two home runs doubling his season total. Despite the poor showing, the 25-year-old has an excellent 2.70 ERA and 0.98 WHIP through six starts. His next start will likely be early next week against the White Sox.

Ryan (3-2) was tagged with the loss Tuesday after he pitched four innings, giving up four runs on four hits and five walks while striking out three against the Astros.

Ryan struggled with his command and control Tuesday, throwing only 56 of his 90 pitches for strikes and walking a season-high five batters. After giving up one total run over 19 innings with 21 punchouts in his previous three starts, the right-hander has surrendered six runs over 8.2 innings while only striking out six in his last two outings. Ryan has a still-impressive 2.56 ERA and 1.01 WHIP with 31 strikeouts in 31.2 innings over six starts. He tentatively lines up to toe the rubber next at home Sunday against the Guardians.

Giolito (2-1) earned the win after striking out five in seven innings, allowing one run on six hits and a walk in a 4-1 victory Tuesday over Cleveland.

Giolito cruised through the first six innings, holding Cleveland scoreless and inducing two double-play groundballs. The lone run against him came on a solo shot by Josh Naylor in the seventh. The righty was efficient, needing 91 pitches to finish seven frames in his best start of the season. He's allowed three runs or fewer in all five starts, resulting in a solid 2.70 ERA.

Quantrill (1-2) took the loss and allowed four runs on 10 hits in 6.1 innings, striking out three in a 4-1 defeat Tuesday against the White Sox.

Quantrill scattered four singles over the first four innings, holding Chicago scoreless in those frames. He then allowed multiple hits in the next three innings, the big blow being a two-out, two-run homer by Gavin Sheets in the sixth. It was just his second home run allowed in six starts. The 27-year-old has never been a high-strikeout pitcher and has a career-low 5.2 strikeouts per nine innings through 34.1 innings. His next start will likely be early next week against Cincinnati.

Verlander (4-1) earned the win Tuesday after pitching eight scoreless innings, surrendering one hit and two walks while striking out five versus the Twins.

Verlander held the Twins hitless for the first 7.1 innings Tuesday, giving up a one-out single to Gio Urshela in the eighth inning, ending the no-hit bid with five outs to go. The 39-year-old was able to finish the inning, inducing an inning-ending double play by Royce Lewis in the following at-bat. Verlander has now produced five consecutive quality starts, winning three straight outings and posting a 1.51 ERA and 0.56 WHIP with 29 punchouts in 35.2 innings during that stretch. He now has a 1.55 ERA and 0.64 WHIP in six starts. After missing almost two full seasons, the right-hander looks to have picked up where he left off in his 2019 Cy Young campaign.

Faedo was optioned to Triple-A Toledo after Tuesday's doubleheader against the A's.

The 26-year-old started Game 2 of the twin bill and allowed only two earned runs over five innings, but he was charged with the loss since Detroit managed only one run. It's not a surprise Faedo is returning to Toledo since he was the 27th man for the doubleheader, but he likely pitched well enough to earn another look in the rotation later this season.

Bradish (1-1) earned the win Tuesday after he pitched seven innings, surrendering two runs on four hits while striking out 11 batters against the Cardinals.

Bradish put together his best start of the 2022 campaign Tuesday, registering a season-high 11 punchouts while limiting the Cardinals to just four baserunners over seven frames. The only blemish on his line came in the sixth inning when Harrison Bader notched a two-run inside-the-park homer, scoring Yadier Molina in the process. After being called up from Triple-A Norfolk on April 29, Bradish has now posted two quality starts in three outings this year, producing a 4.24 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with 16 strikeouts over 17 innings. The 25-year-old tentatively lines up to face the Yankees on Monday.

Wentz was called up from Triple-A Toledo and will start Wednesday against the A's.

The 24-year-old was previously named as the starter for Wednesday, and he was added to the active roster following Tuesday's doubleheader. It'll be Wentz's MLB debut after he posted a 4.12 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 26:10 K:BB across 19.2 innings with Toledo to begin 2022.

Faedo (0-1) allowed just two runs on four hits across five innings but took the loss in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Athletics. He walked two and struck out seven.

Making his second career start, Faedo once again allowed two runs across five innings. However, the righty improved upon the one strikeout he had in that previous outing last Wednesday. Faedo has so far been used as an extra starter during doubleheaders, though the 26-year-old could push for a more regular rotation spot if he continues to pitch well. He's currently slated to start again versus the Rays on Monday, but the Tigers are also waiting on the returns of Matt Manning (shoulder), Tyler Alexander (elbow) and Casey Mize (elbow) in the next few weeks, so Faedo will likely shift back to Triple-A Toledo at some point.
