Bieber (3-2) took the loss Tuesday, allowing six runs (five earned) on 12 hits and zero walks over 4.2 innings against the White Sox. He struck out four.

Bieber had his worst start of the season Tuesday, setting season highs in hits allowed and earned runs while failing to make it to the sixth inning for the first time in nine starts. Though he made it through the first four frames without giving up a run, the White Sox finally got to him in the fifth inning by scoring six runs. The inning was highlighted by a three-run home run by Gavin Sheets that plated Yoan Moncada and Andrew Vaughn, while a Jake Burger two-run long ball brought Yasmani Grandal home. Bieber failed to record a quality start for just the second time this season while increasing his season ERA to 3.20 from 2.61 and HR/9 to 0.96 from 0.70. The 28-year-old has not had his typical strikeout juice this year, owning what would be a career-low 6.87 K/9. Part of the reason for this decrease could be a dip in velocity. While throwing 92.9 mph in 2023, he held a 12.48 K/9, before dropping down to 91.5 mph in 2022 with an 8.91 K/9 and staying around 91.5 mph in 2023.

Kremer (5-1) earned the win Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits over 5.2 innings against the Angels. He struck out four.

Kremer has won three straight outings, allowing four runs through 17.2 innings in that span. After a rough start to the season, the 27-year-old Kremer now sports a 4.63 ERA with a 1.42 WHIP and 36:13 K:BB. He'll look to extend his winning streak in his next outing, tentatively lined up for this weekend in Toronto.

Lorenzen (2-2) earned the win Tuesday, allowing five hits and two walks over six scoreless innings against Pittsburgh. He struck out seven.

Lorenzen has been excellent of late -- he's gone 2-1 in his last three starts while allowing just two runs over 20 innings in that span. On the season, the 31-year-old Lorenzen is now 2-2 with a 3.44 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 26:9 K:BB through six starts (34 innings). At the very least, Lorenzen is worth a look as a streaming option at this point in the season. He's lined up for another favorable road matchup against the Royals in his next outing.

German was ejected from Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays after he was found to have a foreign substance on his hand, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports. He has thrown three perfect innings with two strikeouts before the ejection.

German will be facing a 10-game suspension -- pending appeal -- after being removed from the game before the start of the fourth inning. Ian Hamilton has taken over for German on the mound. This is not the first time that there's been controversy involving German and foreign substances, as the right-hander was checked twice in a start against the Twins in the middle of April. Assuming the suspension is upheld, the Yankees will need to make a change to their rotation over the weekend.

Glasnow (oblique) hurled four scoreless innings with nine strikeouts in a rehab start for Triple-A Durham on Tuesday.

Glasnow allowed just three hits with a walk in an impressive outing for the 29-year-old. It's a positive development after the right-hander was forced to leave his start Wednesday with tightness in his left side after just an inning and 11 pitches. Glasnow will likely need to make at least one more rehab start before he returns, but he's on track to return to the Tampa Bay rotation before the end of May.

Miller was diagnosed Tuesday with a mild UCL sprain in his right elbow, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Miller paid a visit to Dr. Keith Meister after landing on the injured list last week with what was initially labeled as right elbow inflammation. He's going to be shut down from throwing for a while, but the A's believe the talented 24-year-old will manage to return before the end of the season. Miller had worked to a 3.38 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 22:7 K:BB through his first 21.1 major-league innings (four starts) prior to the IL stint.

DeGrom (elbow) threw a "light" bullpen Tuesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

DeGrom is still a few weeks away from a return from the elbow inflammation that placed him on the 15-day injured list at the end of April. The right-hander will likely advanced to more traditional bullpens in the coming days and then could begin a rehab assignment if he continues to make positive progress. At this point, it looks likely deGrom is back in the Texas rotation right around the start of June.

Severino (lat) will throw up to 60 pitches for Double-A Somerset on Tuesday in a rehab start, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Severino threw 49 pitches in his rehab start for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday, and he'll get a chance to go a little deeper in this outing. If things go well for Severino on Tuesday, his next start could be made over the weekend against the Reds, but the team will evaluate how things go before making that decision. Assuming there are no setbacks, Severino should be a part of the Yankees' rotation by the end of May.

McCullers (forearm) threw another bullpen session Tuesday and could be cleared for live batting practice this weekend, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

McCullers threw 37 pitches in Tuesday's session, touching 92 mph with his fastball and 88-89 mph with his cutter, per Rome. It's the first time during his bullpen ramp-ups that he's incorporated the cutter. McCullers appears to be feeling well but would seem to still have a little work to do from a velocity standpoint. If he does face hitters this weekend, a rehab assignment would seemingly be right around the corner.

Blackburn (finger) is slated to make another rehab start for Triple-A Las Vegas later in the week, the Associated Press reports.

After a blister and a subsequent brief paternity leave put Blackburn's rehab assignment on hold for just under a month, the right-hander returned to action with the Aviators on Sunday and surrendered four earned runs over two innings and 41 pitches. Nevertheless, manager Mark Kotsay noted he'd received positive reports regarding the outing and confirmed Monday that Blackburn will toe the rubber in the minors again later in the week. If there's an appreciable bump in pitch count and improved performance during that outing, Blackburn may be deemed ready for activation soon thereafter.
