Shelby Miller RP | CHC
Diamondbacks' Shelby Miller: Hits IL with forearm strain
Arizona placed Miller on the 15-day injured list Monday due to a right forearm strain.
Miller fired a scoreless frame in Saturday's 7-1 win over the Royals but evidently suffered the injury at some point along the way. He'll be eligible to be reinstated shortly after the All-Star break, though he'll likely undergo further imaging on his forearm before the Diamondbacks offer up a clearer timetable for his return. Juan Morillo was recalled from Triple-A Reno in a corresponding move. Jalen Beeks appears next in line for save chances, though Kevin Ginkel and Kyle Backhus could also factor into the mix while Arizona deals with several key injuries in the bullpen.

Erik Miller RP | SF
Giants' Erik Miller: Looking at five-week absence
Miller (elbow) is optimistic about returning from the 15-day injured list in five weeks, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Miller was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to a left elbow sprain, and while the initial five-week timeline may be a bit ambitious, Miller isn't worried about bouncing back from the injury, per Rubin. The southpaw was in the midst of putting together a strong 2025 campaign, posting a 1.50 ERA and 1.47 WHIP with 22 strikeouts across 30.0 innings prior to landing on the shelf.

Victor Mederos RP | ATL
Angels' Victor Mederos: Returning to big leagues
Mederos was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake before Monday's game against the Rangers.
Mederos is in line for another chance in the major leagues after making one appearance earlier in the season. He surrendered two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out two over three innings April 25 against the Twins and will join the club in Los Angeles after it was reported that Hunter Strickland (shoulder) will require a stint on the 15-day injured list.

Hunter Strickland RP | LAA
Angels' Hunter Strickland: Moved to injured list
Strickland was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday due to right shoulder inflammation.
Strickland tossed a scoreless frame and registered a strikeout in Sunday's series finale against the Blue Jays, so it's unclear as to when this issue may have flared up. Victor Mederos was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move.

Colin Holderman RP | CLE
Pirates' Colin Holderman: Activated and optioned
The Pirates activated Holderman (thumb) from the 15-day injured list Monday and optioned him to Triple-A Indianapolis, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Holderman has been shelved since late May with right thumb inflammation. While he is now healthy, the Pirates have elected to keep him at Indianapolis where he had been on his rehab assignment rather than adding him back to the big-league bullpen.

Justin Wrobleski P | LAD
Dodgers' Justin Wrobleski: Sent back to minors
The Dodgers optioned Wrobleski to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.
Wrobleski struggled as a bulk reliever Saturday against the Astros, permitting five runs (four earned) over 4.2 innings while notching six strikeouts. The lefty had pitched well in June with a 2.73 ERA and 26:6 K:BB over 26.1 frames, but with Tyler Glasnow (shoulder) poised to return later this week, Wrobleski will head to Oklahoma City for now.

Jordan Weems RP | LAD
Jordan Weems: Becomes free agent
Weems elected free agency after clearing waivers Monday.
Houston designated Weems for assignment Friday after he made two relief appearances for the big club while allowing two earned runs over three innings. Because he's been previously DFA'd during his career, Weems had the ability to pursue free agency rather than accepting an outright assignment to the minors. He'll likely be on the lookout for a minor-league deal with Houston or another organization.

Bailey Horn P | DET
Tigers' Bailey Horn: Headed back to Triple-A
The Tigers optioned Horn to Triple-A Toledo on Monday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
He's clearing out to free up a spot on the roster for the addition of Keider Montero, who was called up from Triple-A to start in Monday's game against the Rays. Horn has made three relief appearances for the Tigers this season, yielding one run with a 3:1 K:BB over 2.2 innings.

Jason Adam RP | SD
Padres' Jason Adam: Registers 20th hold Sunday
Adam earned a hold against the Rangers on Sunday, allowing one hit and striking out one batter in one scoreless inning.
Adam was summoned from the bullpen with San Diego nursing a two-run lead in the seventh inning and got the job done, working around a two-out single to record a scoreless frame. The right-hander was credited with his 20th hold of the season -- third-most in the majors behind Abner Uribe (25) and Bryan Abreu (22). Adam was named to his first All-Star Game on Sunday as a reward for a dominant campaign during which he's posted a 1.61 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 52:19 K:BB over 44.2 innings spanning 44 appearances.
