The Brewers optioned Koenig to Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday.

He'll cede his spot in the Milwaukee bullpen to right-hander Tobias Myers, whose contract was selected from Nashville ahead of Wednesday's series finale versus San Diego. After being called up from Nashville on Sunday, Koenig proceeded to pitch in relief in both of the first two games of the series with San Diego, tossing 3.2 scoreless innings and striking out two while allowing three hits and no walks.

The Brewers selected Myers' contract from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday.

Milwaukee was eager to build in an extra day of rest for all five members of its rotation, so rather than having ace Freddy Peralta take the hill Wednesday on normal rest, the Brewers will opt for a bullpen day in the series finale with the Padres. Bryse Wilson will open the contest and should be capable of covering 3-to-4 innings, but Myers could be called upon to pitch multiple innings behind him. Myers, who had been working as a starter at Nashville this season, accrued a 1.84 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 19:6 K:BB across 14.2 innings.

Wilson is slated to serve as Milwaukee's opening pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Padres, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Wilson has 43 career MLB starts to his name and covered three innings in his most recent relief appearance April 10 in Cincinnati, so he should be capable of giving the Brewers more length at the start of the game compared to the typical opening pitcher. However, the right-hander could still struggle to reach the five innings he would need to qualify for a win, so he doesn't profile as an especially appealing streaming or low-cost DFS option for Wednesday. The Brewers haven't outlined their plans for when Wilson exits the game, but Tobias Myers is expected to be called up from Triple-A Nashville prior to the contest and could be tasked with covering multiple innings behind Wilson.

Ortiz (1-1) allowed three earned runs on two hits and a walk while striking out none across 1.2 innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Mets.

Ortiz entered the game in the sixth inning, immediately following Jared Jones while being tasked with protecting a one-run lead. He retired the first four batters he faced but then ran into trouble by allowing three consecutive hitters to reach base. Ortiz was then let down by Jose Hernandez, who allowed two inherited runners to score. Ortiz has been used in multi-inning relief after losing out on a rotation spot in spring training, and he's posted a subpar 5:6 K:BB in his first 9.1 innings of work.

The White Sox recalled Shuster from Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday.

Shuster was just optioned Tuesday, but he's back a day later to serve as the 27th man for Wednesday's doubleheader against the Royals. The left-hander is a good bet to eat some innings either in the first game or second game of the twin bill.

Alzolay blew the save Tuesday against Arizona, allowing one run on one hit and two walks across one inning. He didn't generate a strikeout.

Alzolay toed the rubber with a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth and surrendered the game-tying home run to Ketel Marte. Following the long ball, Alzolay dished out back-to-back walks but avoided disaster by retiring Christian Walker to end the inning. He's converted on three of his six save opportunities this season. However, he's only allowed three runs in 8.2 innings -- all solo homers -- and still has a firm grip on ninth-inning duties.

Hurt threw two shutout innings as the Dodgers' opener on Tuesday against the Nationals. He allowed three hits and did not walk or strike out a batter.

Hurt was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma to start Tuesday's game and managed to work through two scoreless frames. The Nationals opened up the game with three straight hits but did not score after CJ Abrams was thrown out at home on a Jesse Winker double. Hurt has now given up two runs (one earned) while striking out three in 6.2 major-league innings this year.

Cronin was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville by the Marlins on Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Cronin made two scoreless relief appearances for the Marlins earlier this season and returns to give the bullpen a fresh arm. He'll operate in middle relief.

Miami optioned Soriano to Triple-A Jacksonville on Wednesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Soriano had allowed three runs in each of his last two relief appearances -- including Tuesday versus the Giants -- to earn a ticket to Jacksonville. Declan Cronin will take his spot in Miami's bullpen.

Jansen gave up a run on three hits in the ninth inning Tuesday for his first blown save of the season in a 10-7 extra-innings loss to the Guardians.

Called upon to protect a 6-5 lead, Jansen instead gave up three straight one-out hits kicked off by a Tyler Freeman double off the Green Monster. The 36-year-old right-hander has been tagged for runs in back-to-back appearances after beginning the campaign with 4.2 scoreless innings, and Jansen's 9:8 K:BB remains a little worrisome, but he's converted four of five save chances and doesn't appear to be at risk of losing his grip on the closer role.
