Slaten (2-1) was tagged with Tuesday's loss, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out one in a 4-2 loss to Atlanta.

Slaten has pitched well out of the bullpen, allowing just two runs over his first 19 innings, but the heart of Atlanta's order got to him for that many in the eighth inning. Ozzie Albies worked him for a six-pitch walk to lead off the inning -- just the third walk allowed -- then Austin Riley and Marcell Ozuna followed with hits. Slaten has a 1.80 ERA and 0.80 WHIP over 20 innings.

Weissert retired the lone batter faced in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to Atlanta.

Weissert stranded a runner when he got Ronald Acuna on a force out to end the seventh inning. It was the eighth consecutive scoreless outing for Weissert, who has excelled as part a bullpen that ranks eighth in the majors with a 3.38 ERA. The right-hander sports a 1.17 ERA and 0.91 WHIP with 16 strikeouts and three walks over 15.1 innings.

Nelson (shoulder) underwent thoracic outlet surgery Monday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Nelson is expected is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Sewald allowed a run on one hit and struck out one over one inning in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Reds.

Sewald made his season debut Tuesday in a non-save situation -- a low-key introduction after spending the first six-plus weeks on the injured list due to an oblique injury. He allowed a home run to Tyler Stephenson while mopping up in the ninth inning. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo told Steve Gilbert of MLB.com that Sewald would reclaim the closer's role from Kevin Ginkel.

Ottavino got the save in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Cardinals, allowing one run on two hits and a walk while striking out two in the ninth.

Ottavino was called upon to close the game out after Edwin Diaz had pitched back-to-back days Sunday and Monday. The right-hander surrendered a one-out home run to Lars Nootbaar and then allowed the next two batters to reach, but ultimately got himself out of trouble by striking out Paul Goldschmidt and Alec Burleson to end the game. Ottavino has now given up three runs over his last 2.2 innings and is due for some rest having pitched three of the last four days. He now owns a 3.14 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 24:5 K:BB in 14.1 innings.

McArthur (1-2) took the loss and blew the save Tuesday against Milwaukee, allowing three runs on three hits and a walk over one inning. He didn't log a strikeout.

For a second straight appearance, McArthur took the mound in the ninth with the Royals leading and surrendered a game-altering home run. This time, Willy Adames put the Brewers up 6-5 with a three-run shot that plated William Contreras and Gary Sanchez with two outs. Despite blowing back-to-back saves, fantasy managers shouldn't panic about McArthur, considering he hadn't allowed a run in nine consecutive appearances prior to the stretch.

Stephenson (elbow) had Tommy John surgery May 1, Trent Rush of Angels Radio AM 830 reports.

Stephenson was one of the Angels' biggest signings in the offseason, but he won't play a game for the team in the first season of his three-year contract. It's quite possible that he won't be ready to pitch at the start of the 2025 campaign, but the veteran reliever should join the Angels' bullpen sometime next spring or summer.

Megill picked up the save during Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Royals, striking out one batter over a perfect ninth inning.

Megill had a save opportunity open up after Willy Adames gave the Brewers a one-run lead in the top of the ninth on a three-run home run, and the reliever converted it for his third save of the season. In each of his three save chances this season, Megill has turned in a perfect inning, and he's allowed just one run and two hits in 6.2 innings since being activated from the injured list April 19.

Saucedo left Tuesday's game against the Twins due to a knee injury, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

While running to cover first base on a ground ball during the eighth inning, Saucedo seemed to jam his right leg on the bag before crumbling to the ground in pain and grabbing his knee. The Mariners have yet to reveal the nature of the injury, but manager Scott Servais said the left-hander will be sidelined for "a while." Saucedo has been used primarily in middle relief this season, logging a 2.70 ERA and 1.13 WHIP across 13.1 innings.

The Red Sox will option Uwasawa to Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Uwasawa will be pushed off the big-league roster with Nick Pivetta (elbow) in line to return from the IL on Wednesday. Uwasawa has performed well during his first MLB stint, giving up just one earned run across four innings, though he has not found the same success while in Triple-A. The 30-year-old may still return to Boston later this season if the Red Sox find themselves in need of a fresh arm capable of pitching multiple innings out of the bullpen.
