Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Sunday that Diaz's bullpen role will be more "fluid" for the near future, Paige Leckie of MLB.com reports.

The 30-year-old surrendered four runs in his third blown save of the season Saturday and admitted that his confidence is down with seven runs allowed in his past three outings, so the Mets won't rely on him to be their primary closer for a bit. Diaz is still viewed as the club's closer long term but is now likely to see some lower-leverage work in an attempt to get him back on track. Adam Ottavino and Reed Garrett are the likely candidates to step in for save chances in the meantime.

The Dodgers transferred Brogdon (foot) to the 60-day injured list Sunday.

Brogdon landed on the injured list with plantar fasciitis in mid-April shortly after being acquired from Philadelphia, and he'll be sidelined for at least another month. The right-hander began a rehab assignment in early May and appeared close to joining the Dodgers, but he apparently suffered a setback and is now without a clear timeline for his return.

Vanasco was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.

The right-hander was called up by Los Angeles on Friday but will return to Triple-A without making an appearance with the big club. Vanasco delivered two scoreless frames in his MLB debut April 15, but that's his only outing in the big leagues this season.

Feyereisen was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.

Feyereisen was called up by Los Angeles at the start of May and will head back to the minors after he allowed six earned runs with an 8:5 K:BB across nine innings. The right-hander gave up all those runs in his first two outings before he turned in seven straight scoreless appearances.

The Dodgers selected Banda's contract from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.

The left-hander was acquired from the Guardians for cash considerations Friday and will join the Dodgers without making an appearance for Triple-A Oklahoma City. Banda allowed five earned runs over seven innings for Washington last year but has a 2.12 ERA in 12 appearances at the Triple-A level in 2024.

Stanek (2-0) got the win against the Orioles on Saturday, firing a scoreless two-thirds of an inning while recording a strikeout.

The hard-throwing reliever finished out the seventh inning after Gabe Speier had put two men on via a hit and a walk, retiring Adley Rutschman and Ryan O'Hearn via a strikeout and groundout, respectively, to preserve a 2-2 tie. Stanek eventually became the pitcher of record when the Mariners took a lead in the top of the eighth that held for the last two frames, giving him his second win of the campaign. The veteran right-hander pitched to an unsightly 9.00 ERA across the seven appearances he logged between April 25 and Monday, but he's now generated consecutive scoreless outings.

Manager Aaron Boone said Sunday that Kahnle (shoulder) will likely be activated from the 15-day injured list Wednesday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

After a rehab appearance Saturday, it appears Kahnle is moving in the right direction and could make his season debut this week. The 34-year-old finished out the 2023 season with a 2.66 ERA, along with a 48:19 K:BB and two saves across 40.2 innings.

Boushley was recalled Sunday from Triple-A St. Paul.

The right-hander will be sent up to the Twins while Jay Jackson was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Boushley has recorded a 4.54 ERA and 1.14 WHIP with 38 strikeouts across 41.2 innings with Triple-A St. Paul and should fill a low-leverage role while up in the majors.

Jackson was designated for assignment by the Twins on Sunday.

The veteran reliever will be removed from the 40-man roster to free up space for right-hander Caleb Boushley, who was recalled by Minnesota in a corresponding move. Jackson will likely pitch for Minnesota's Triple-A affiliate in St. Paul if not picked up by another team.

Mata (hamstring) allowed two runs on four hits and one walk over two innings in a rehab start for High-A Greenville on Saturday.

Mata, whose rebab assignment moved from the Florida Complex League to Greenville, made his second rehab appearance. He worked a quick first inning but was knocked around in the second. "We just want him to throw strikes and hopefully the stuff is back," Boston manager Alex Cora told Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe. "It's hard. So we'll see what happens in the upcoming weeks. Hopefully he stays healthy." Mata is out of options and will need to be activated to the parent club or get designated for assignment.
