Slaten (2-2) was charged with Saturday's loss to the Cardinals. He allowed five runs (four earned) on five hits while striking out one over one inning.

Slaten handed back momentum a half inning after Boston tied the game, 2-2, in the top of the eighth. As sharp as Slaten was during April (0.52 ERA), he's been ineffective in May (10.80). The right-hander, who has two losses and a blown save in the last five appearances, has given up nine runs (eight earned) on 13 hits over 6.2 innings this month.

Rodriguez (1-0) picked up Saturday's win in extra innings over the Angels. He walked one and struck out one over two scoreless innings.

The Rangers received seven innings of one-run ball out of the bullpen, including the final two from Rodriguez. The right-hander has put together six scoreless frames over his last two outings.

Spiers allowed one run on three hits while striking out three over three relief innings in Saturday's 4-0 loss to the Dodgers.

Spiers was called up from Triple-A Louisville on Friday after the Reds added Justin Wilson (shoulder) to the injured list. A starter in the minors, Spiers' length came in handy for the Reds, whose offense showed little pushback or comeback potential against Los Angeles right-hander Walker Buehler.

Martinez allowed one hit and one walk over a scoreless third of an inning in Saturday's 8-3 loss to Detroit.

Martinez has been effective in a low-leverage role out of the bullpen, allowing just one run with 16 strikeouts over 13 innings (0.69 ERA). He's managed to work around 10 walks, which is something that could turn against him at some point, but the right-hander's splitter (46.9 whiff percentage) and slider (50 percent) have been untouchable.

Castro (shoulder) has been pulled back from his throwing program, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

It's unclear exactly when Castro was taken off the program, but he's "been shut down for a couple of days," per Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo. The right-hander had been cruising through the regimen, throwing out to 90, 110 and 120 feet when he felt discomfort on the top of the shoulder. Lovullo said Castro just needs a bit more rest and a second opinion is not needed at this time.

Liberatore will start Sunday's game against the Red Sox in St. Louis.

Liberatore will start for the third time in four appearances, filling the rotation spot that remains open while Steven Matz (back) is on the injured list. Though the Cardinals will keep Liberatore in a starting role for now, he likely won't have an especially long leash if he struggles Sunday. In both of his other two starts this season, Liberatore has compiled a 6.43 ERA and 1.43 WHIP across seven innings.

Neris (4-0) pitched a scoreless inning of relief with two strikeouts to earn the win Saturday against the Pirates.

Starter Shota Imanaga tossed seven scoreless innings, followed by scoreless innings from Mark Leiter and Neris in the 1-0 victory. Neris managed to leave with his fourth win, which already puts him just two behind his career high of six wins that he recorded each of the last two seasons. The veteran righty also has six saves in seven chances to go along with a strong 2.65 ERA, making him a valuable fantasy asset so far and the top reliever to target in Chicago's bullpen.

There is no clear timeline for Poche (back) to be activated from the injured list, MLB.com reports.

Poche has received a pair of cortisone shots to relieve his pain and has been able to resume some baseball activity. However, his ramp-up has remained slow, making it unclear when he may be able to return.

Cano (2-2) allowed two runs on two hits in one-third of an inning to take the loss Saturday versus the Mariners.

Cano allowed the first two batters to reach base in the eighth inning, giving up one run in the process. Cionel Perez also allowed an inherited runner to score, and the Orioles couldn't overcome the deficit. This is the first time Cano has given up multiple earned runs in an appearance all season, and just the second time he's given up more than one run of any kind. He's now at a 2.95 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 18:9 K:BB while adding two saves and 10 holds over 21.1 innings. The late-inning mix in Baltimore remains in flux, and Cano isn't doing himself any favors with three runs allowed over his last 1.1 innings across three appearances.

Urena allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out three over six innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Saturday.

Urena has allowed five runs (four earned) over 17.2 innings across his three starts, though he has just one win to show for it in that span. The lone run on his ledger Saturday came from a Taylor Ward solo home run. Urena now has a 3.29 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 24:13 K:BB over 38.1 innings across 13 appearances (three starts) this season. Dane Dunning (shoulder) and Nathan Eovaldi (groin) both resumed mound work this week as part of their injury rehab, so Urena seems likely to get another start, which is projected to be a tough road outing in Philadelphia.
