O'Brien (forearm) is slated to throw another bullpen session Sunday, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

It's the second time he's thrown from the bump since he went down with a right flexor strain back in late March. O'Brien should be ready for a rehab assignment soon if he continues to progress.

The Blue Jays selected Burr's contract from Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Burr was acquired via trade from the Phillies on Thursday and will immediately join the major-league roster. The right-hander holds a 2.16 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 29:5 K:BB across 16.2 innings with Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season. If/when Burr appears in a game, it would be his first at the big-league level since 2022.

Kuhnel was designated for assignment Friday, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Kuhnel made his way to Toronto's organization after being DFA'd by the Astros in April, and he'll once again be put on waivers with Friday's move. He'll give way to Ryan Burr -- who was traded from the Phillies on Thursday -- on the 40-man roster. If Kuhnel clears waivers, he'll likely remain in the Blue Jays' farm system.

Ferguson was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.

Ferguson appeared in nine games with the Athletics, tallying a 4.50 ERA over 10 innings. However, he'll be pushed back to the Triple-A level, while Dany Jimenez and Brady Basso join the big-league roster.

The Athletics announced Friday that Erceg (forearm) was placed on the 15-day injured list retroactive to May 26.

Erceg hasn't pitched since May 25 due to forearm tightness and will officially be sidelined until at least June 10. Prior to the injury, Erceg had operated as Mason Miller's setup man, a role that Austin Adams or Scott Alexander could fill until Erceg returns.

Jimenez was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas by Oakland on Friday.

Jimenez will rejoin the Athletics just a month after being sent down to the team's Triple-A affiliate. The 30-year-old righty has appeared in 15 games with Oakland this year, recording a 3.68 ERA and 1.50 WHIP across 14.2 innings.

Brazoban was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday.

Brazoban missed early portions of the 2024 campaign due to visa issues but has been brought up to speed since clearing those up and will rejoin the Marlins' bullpen. Brazoban appeared in 50 games last season with Miami and owns a 5.91 ERA across 10.2 innings with Jacksonville this year. He'll likely fill a middle-relief role with the Marlins.

Lynch was optioned to Triple-A Omaha after Thursday's 7-6 loss to the Twins.

The southpaw was brought up to the majors as a spot starter for Brady Singer (illness) and yielded two earned runs and a pair of homers across five innings Thursday against the Twins. Lynch has been reliable in his 12 big-league innings this season with just those two earned runs allowed, but he'll likely remain at the Triple-A level while the Royals' rotation is at or near full health.

Kansas City recalled Klein from Triple-A Omaha on Friday.

The 24-year-old righty will rejoin the Royals after being optioned down in late April, while southpaw Daniel Lynch gets sent down to Omaha in a corresponding move. Klein has seen just one inning with Kansas City this year and logged two strikeouts with no runs allowed.

The Rays selected Sterner's contract from Triple-A Durham on Friday.

The right-hander has a 3.60 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 33:8 K:BB over 25 innings for Durham this year to earn his first taste of the big leagues. Sterner should fill a low-leverage bullpen role for the Rays.
