Jansen allowed a hit in a scoreless inning to earn a save over the Reds on Sunday.

Jansen worked around a two-out single to finish off the 7-4 game. It was about as efficient of an outing as it gets, as he threw 11 of his 12 pitches for strikes. He's now converted 15 of his 16 save chances this season, including 11 straight. Jansen has produced a 2.29 ERA since his last blown save April 16, lowering his season mark to 2.39.

Jax struck out two and allowed one hit in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Athletics.

The Twins haven't had much need for their bullpen this weekend, as Bailey Ober tossed a complete game Saturday and Pablo Lopez went eight innings Sunday. Jax hadn't pitched since Thursday, so he was a little fresher than Jhoan Duran, who last pitched Friday, which likely explains manager Rocco Baldelli's decision. Jax has done well in a high-leverage role this year, posting a 2.10 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 46:8 K:BB over 34.1 innings. He's added seven saves and 12 holds, though he's likely to remain second in the hierarchy for closing duties.

Otto (shoulder) has given up three earned runs on one hit and four walks while striking out four across three innings between his two appearances since shifting his rehab assignment to Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.

Otto has 33 big-league starts on his resume, but given that he hasn't covered more than two innings in any of his five rehab appearances between Triple-A and the rookie-level Arizona Complex League thus far, the Padres look to be preparing him for a relief role upon his return from the 15-day injured list. The right-hander has been on the shelf all season with a right teres major strain.

Wantz (forearm) has given up nine runs (eight earned) on 12 hits and seven walks while striking out 10 over six innings in his three appearances (two starts) since being activated from Triple-A Salt Lake's 7-day injured list June 12.

Wantz missed just under two months of action due to a right forearm strain. Though he's ostensibly healthy again, Wantz has struggled mightily with his control since coming off the IL. He doesn't look to be a viable option to join the Angels during the upcoming week, even though the big club has two open spots in its rotation at the moment.

Triple-A Salt Lake placed Rosenberg on its 7-day injured list June 12 with an unspecified injury.

Salt Lake moved Rosenberg to the IL the same day it brought back another member of its rotation (Andrew Wantz) from the IL. Rosenberg made 10 appearances (four starts) with the Angels over the past two seasons and remains on the 40-man roster, but he had been pitching exclusively for Salt Lake in 2024 before landing on the shelf. Though 12 starts in the Pacific Coast League covering 68 innings, Rosenberg owns a 3.84 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 56:24 K:BB.

Williams (back) will throw a bullpen session Wednesday in Milwaukee, MLB.com reports.

Williams is poised for the next big milestone in his recovery from multiple stress fractures in his back, which have kept him sidelined him for the entirety of the 2024 campaign to this point. If the 29-year-old can avoid any setbacks, he remains on track to return to the Brewers bullpen in late July, likely after the All-Star break. Williams will likely need to complete multiple bullpen sessions before advancing to facing hitters and then heading out on what will likely be a lengthy minor-league rehab assignment.

Whitley (elbow) was reinstated from the minor-league injured list Sunday, returning to Triple-A Sugar Land's roster, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Whitley will be back on the active roster at Triple-A following a nearly two-month absence with right elbow soreness. The 26-year-old has made five appearances with Sugar Land in 2024, giving up four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out eight batters over five innings. Whitley will look to get into a groove at Triple-A in order to potentially earn a promotion to the major-league roster down the road.

Little was called up from Triple-A Iowa on Sunday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Little will return to the major-league bullpen just one day after being sent to Iowa, replacing Mark Leiter (forearm) on the 26-man roster. Little has compiled a 2.31 ERA and 1.03 WHIP with 12 strikeouts over 11.2 innings in 13 appearances with the Cubs since May 15.

Leiter was placed on the 15-day injured list with a right forearm strain Sunday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Leiter last appeared in a game Wednesday versus the Giants, surrendering three runs on a hit and two walks over two-thirds of an inning. He'll now likely be sidelined longer than the minimum stay on the injured list considering it's an injury to his throwing arm. In the meantime, Luke Little was called up from Triple-A Iowa to replace Leiter in the major-league bullpen Sunday.

Iglesias struck out two during a perfect ninth to collect the save Sunday against the Yankees.

Iglesias needed just 10 pitches to close out the game, retiring Aaron Judge on one pitch, then striking out the final two batters he faced. Iglesias has converted 12 consecutive save chances and 20 of 22 opportunities on the season, carrying a 2.51 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 23 strikeouts over 28.2 innings.
