The Reds recalled Zulueta from Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

The 26-year-old has allowed one run over four innings covering two relief appearances for the Reds this season. Zulueta will give Cincinnati another middle-relief option.

Liberatore will start Wednesday's game against the Pirates at PNC Park, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

St. Louis already boasts a healthy five-man rotation, but Liberatore will be called upon for a spot start Wednesday since a doubleheader over the weekend created a stretch of six games in five days for the Cardinals. Liberatore hadn't been used out of the bullpen in any of the Cardinals' first five games of the second half, so he should be well rested and capable of giving the club a decent amount of length for what will be his sixth start of the season. Over his previous five starts, Liberatore has turned in a 5.03 ERA and 18:5 K:BB across 19.2 innings.

Leone (elbow) is scheduled to make a rehab appearance with Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

Leone, sidelined since May 20, has been cleared to return to game action. It's unclear how long his rehab stint will last, but it appears he has the chance to return by late July or early August.

Duran (5-5) took the loss Tuesday against Philadelphia, allowing three runs on two hits and two walks across two-thirds of an inning.

Duran took over in the ninth inning with the game tied 0-0, and he loaded the bases with one out, yielding a double to Bryce Harper and issuing two walks. Brandon Marsh broke the stalemate with a sacrifice fly and then Nick Castellanos ended Duran's appearance with a two-RBI double. The 26-year-old Duran has a 3.62 ERA through 32.1 innings but has converted 15 of his 16 save chances.

The Twins optioned Henriquez to Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Henriquez has had three separate brief stints in the majors this season, and in the most recent one, he retired the only batter he faced. He hasn't permitted a run in three outings with the Twins in 2024 but will head back to St. Paul for now.

The Twins activated Stewart (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Wednesday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Stewart is finally ready to rejoin the Twins bullpen after being sidelined since early May with right shoulder tendinitis. He's been a lockdown reliever for Minnesota when healthy, collecting a 0.66 ERA and 56:17 K:BB through 41 innings since the start of the 2023 season. Stewart will help out the Twins in high-leverage situations.

Fairbanks worked a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his 19th save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Blue Jays.

The right-hander needed 11 pitches (eight strikes) to set down Toronto's 5-6-7 hitters. Fairbanks dealt with an arm issue early in the year, but since coming off the IL in mid-May he's posted a 1.88 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 23:8 K:BB through 28.2 innings while converting 16 of 17 save chances.

Puk (4-8) earned the win Tuesday over the Orioles, striking out three over two perfect innings.

Puk has been excellent since returning to Miami's bullpen -- the left-hander hasn't allowed a run in his last 16.2 innings, posting a stellar 0.42 WHIP while striking out 25 in that span. With Tanner Scott expected to be moved at the trade deadline, Puk would seemingly be the favorite to take over the closer role. He's lowered his ERA to 4.30 on the season with a 1.34 WHIP and 45:23 K:BB across 44 innings.

Yates picked up the save Tuesday against the White Sox, striking out one batter in a perfect two-thirds of an inning.

Yates took over with the Rangers leading 3-2 after Josh Sborz yielded a solo home run to Andrew Benintendi to start the ninth frame. Yates only needed six pitches to strike out Gavin Sheets and get Eloy Jimenez to fly out, earning his 18th save of 2024. The 37-year-old hasn't blown a save this season and holds a sparkling 1.22 ERA and 0.89 WHIP in 37 innings.

Diekman walked one and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his fourth save of the season in a 3-2 win over the Yankees.

Edwin Diaz was unavailable after throwing 28 pitches the night before, forcing Mets manager Carlos Mendoza to get creative in the ninth. Diekman hasn't exactly been consistent lately, posting a 9.64 ERA and 2.14 WHIP through 4.2 innings in July, but he remains the team's top high-leverage option from the left side with Brooks Raley (elbow) lost for the season.
