The Guardians placed Walters on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to a right lat strain, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Walters suffered the injury during the ninth inning of Friday's game against the Angels. The Guardians haven't determined whether Walters will need surgery, but the 24-year-old is expected to be sidelined for an extended period after president of baseball operations Chris Antonetti said that the right-hander has been diagnosed with a "significant tear," per SI.com. Nic Enright was recalled from Triple-A Columbus in a corresponding move.

Hall took a no-decision as the Brewers' opening pitcher for Friday's 6-2 win over the Phillies, tossing three scoreless, no-hit innings and giving up one walk while striking out four.

Since being reinstated from the 60-day injured list Monday, Hall has made two appearances, giving up one earned run over 5.1 innings. Though he was being built up a starter during his minor-league rehab assignment, Hall looks like he could fill a hybrid role that includes occasional opener assignments as well as more traditional relief appearances. Hall ended up working in tandem Friday with Quinn Priester, who covered the final six innings en route to notching his second win of the season.

Manager Craig Counsell said Saturday that Hodge's (oblique) recovery has been slowed down by a hip impingement, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.

The Cubs skipper noted that the oblique strain that put Hodge on the IL in the first place has been fully resolved, though the reliever's newest injury makes it unclear when he might be ready to return. The team will try to have him throw off a mound again during the week, and he'll require a few rehab outings before being activated.

Martin (shoulder) will toss a bullpen session Sunday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Martin landed on the 15-day injured list May 20 due to right shoulder fatigue. He has been cleared to resume his throwing program, and Rangers manager Bruce Bochy relayed Saturday that Martin may not need a rehab assignment as long as he doesn't suffer any setbacks. Martin posted a 1.83 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, nine holds and a 23:3 K:BB across 19.2 innings prior to his placement on the IL.

Zastryzny will be available out of the bullpen Saturday versus Philadelphia, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The Brewers initially planned to use Zastryzny as an opener Saturday, but they'll now run with Chad Patrick as their starter. Zastryzny has yet to allow a run in five innings since returning to Milwaukee.

The Marlins reinstated Cronin (hip) from the injured list Saturday and optioned him to Triple-A Jacksonville.

A hip strain has kept Cronin on the injured list all season, and although he's given up just two earned runs in eight innings during his rehab assignment, the Marlins are going to keep him in the minors now that he's fully healthy. Miami doesn't have a particularly deep bullpen, however, so Cronin could definitely work his way back into the majors if he continues to perform well in Jacksonville.

Perez was outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday after clearing waivers, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.

Perez was DFA'd by the Orioles last Saturday after logging an 8.31 ERA, 2.12 WHIP and 21:18 K:BB across 21.2 innings. He'll remain in the Orioles organization and report to Triple-A, where he'll look to regain his control and perform well enough to warrant a return to the majors.

The Blue Jays designated Urena for assignment Saturday.

Urena has surrendered five earned runs in 12.1 innings since joining the Blue Jays on May 3. Despite his improved performance after a rough start with the Mets, he'll now be pushed off the 26-man and 40-man rosters to make room for Easton Lucas, who was recalled to Toronto in a corresponding move. Urena owns a 4.78 ERA and 1.40 WHIP across his MLB career, but his recent run with the Jays may capture the attention of other teams in need of pitching help.

The Athletics optioned Maldonado to Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday.

After being recalled from Triple-A on May 20, Maldonado gave up six earned runs in just five innings while striking out five batters and walking five more. The A's will now send him back to the minors to right the ship and recall Osvaldo Bido as the 27-year-old's replacement.

The Cardinals optioned Graceffo to Triple-A Memphis on Saturday.

Graceffo has struggled mightily in the big leagues this season, accumulating a 7.47 ERA and 1.40 WHIP through 15.2 innings with St. Louis. He'll now attempt to get back on track in Triple-A, and Roddery Munoz will come up to fill the vacancy in the Cardinals' bullpen.
