The Dodgers optioned Gervase to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.

Gervase was promoted Friday but did not make an appearance during his brief time with the big club. He's clearing off the roster to make room for the return of Tyler Glasnow (back), who will start Tuesday's game versus Atlanta.

Ramirez earned a save against the Padres on Monday by striking out all three batters he faced in the 12th inning.

With primary closer Mason Montgomery as well as top setup man Luke Weaver having pitched earlier in the game, manager Don Kelly turned to Ramirez after Pittsburgh took a 3-2 lead in the top of the 12th frame. The righty reliever performed in dominant fashion, striking out the side on 17 total pitches. It was the second save of the season for Ramirez and the ninth of his seven-year MLB career. Montgomery has been outstanding of late and is in no danger of losing his closer role, so fantasy managers in need of saves need not speculate on Ramirez getting many (if any) final-inning chances moving forward.

Phillips will start Tuesday's game against the Red Sox, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Phillips was deployed as a reliever in his last appearance Aug. 18 against the Phillies, but he'll work as a starter Tuesday as the Marlins look to bounce back from a loss in the series opener. The 28-year-old has been a solid option for the Marlins over his last eight outings, posting a 3.98 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with a 27:10 K:BB across 31.2 frames.

Fairbanks left Monday's 4-2 loss to the Boston due to nerve irritation in his right hand, Stephen Strom of Marlins Radio Network reports. He was dealt his fifth loss of the season and was charged with one earned run after walking the lone batter he faced.

After spotting just one of his five pitches for strikes while facing Mickey Gasper to lead off the ninth inning, Fairbanks was visited on the mound by manager Clayton McCullough and was pulled from the contest. The Marlins provided an explanation for Fairbanks' early exit after the game, with the nerve irritation seemingly related to an issue he dealt with earlier in the season. Fairbanks previously felt discomfort in his hand following an April 27 appearance against the Dodgers and was placed on the 15-day injured list a day later due to nerve irritation. According to the Associated Press, the Marlins will send Fairbanks in for further tests Tuesday before determining whether he'll require a return trip to the shelf.

Fairbanks left Monday's game against the Red Sox after suffering an apparent injury, Isaac Azout of FishOnFirst.com reports.

Fairbanks called for the trainer after issuing a walk to the lone batter he faced in the top of the ninth inning, and he walked off the mound to the clubhouse after a brief conversation. The nature of the injury is unknown at this time, but he'll presumably be sent for further evaluation after exiting.

Burgos was recalled from Triple-A Reno prior to Monday's game against the Cubs.

Burgos was sent down in late July and didn't show much improvement while pitching for Reno, accruing a 10.80 ERA and 2.04 WHIP with nine strikeouts over 8.1 innings. However, Arizona is in need of a fresh arm after optioning Mitch Bratt, opening up a roster spot for Burgos.

Brubaker was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday due to bruised ribs, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

It's not clear at this time when Brubaker picked up the rib injury, but it'll cost him some time on the shelf. Ryan Walker was recalled to take Brubaker's place in the bullpen ahead of Monday's game against Cincinnati.

Molina was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento ahead of Monday's game against the Reds, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Molina was acquired by the Giants in early August and has fared well at Triple-A, where he's posted a 2.45 ERA and 0.91 WHIP with 12 strikeouts over 11.0 innings (four appearances). Matt Wilkinson was optioned to Triple-A on Monday, and with San Francisco scheduled to play a doubleheader Saturday, Molina could be the favorite start one of Saturday's matchups.

Walker was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento prior to Monday's game against the Reds, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Walker will receive another opportunity in the major leagues after he was optioned July 9. He's been solid at Triple-A Sacramento in 12 appearances since his demotion, working to a 1.47 ERA and 0.93 with a 19:6 K:BB across 18.1 innings.

Pivetta (forearm) will resume a rehab assignment with Single-A Lake Elsinore on Tuesday, Annie Heilbrunn of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Pivetta exited his first rehab appearance earlier this month when he felt tightness in his right elbow, but he's bounced back quickly and is ready to rejoin an affiliate for game action. The veteran right-hander has been out since mid-April due to a flexor strain, and given the length of his absence, he'll need multiple starts in the minors before rejoining the San Diego rotation.
