  • Diamondbacks' Juan Burgos: Sent packing from big-league camp

The Diamondbacks optioned Burgos to Triple-A Reno on Sunday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports. Burgos was one of 15 players dismissed from big-league camp in the Diamondbacks' latest round of roster cuts. The 26-year-old righty was unable to secure a spot in Arizona's Opening Day bullpen after yielding four earned runs on six hits and two walks over 2.1 innings in the Cactus League.

  • Diamondbacks' Juan Burgos: On MLB injured list

The Diamondbacks voided Burgos' Sept. 2 option to Triple-A Reno on Friday and placed him on the 15-day injured list with a right forearm contusion, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports. Burgos suffered the injury during his appearance against the Rangers on Sept. 1. He'll be eligible to return from the injured list whenever he's fully healthy, but there's currently no telling when that may be. Once activated, he may take on a low-leverage role in Arizona's bullpen after posting a 6.08 ERA and 1.88 WHIP in 13.1 innings with the D-backs.

  • Diamondbacks' Juan Burgos: Suffers forearm injury

Burgos suffered a right forearm contusion in Monday's 7-5 extra-inning loss to the Rangers, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports. Burgos was struck in the right arm by a 108.6 mph line drive off the bat of Alejandro Osuna with two outs in the top of the ninth inning, ultimately exiting the game as a result. The right-hander underwent X-rays, which came back negative, but he will undergo additional testing Tuesday.

  • Diamondbacks' Juan Burgos: Dealt to Arizona

The Diamondbacks acquired Burgos, first baseman Tyler Locklear and right-hander Hunter Cranton from the Mariners on Wednesday in exchange for third baseman Eugenio Suarez, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports. Burgos has appeared in four games for the Mariners this season while allowing three earned runs over 6.2 frames and striking out eight batters in the process. He was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma last week but still owns a 40-man roster spot, making him a prime candidate to join the Diamondbacks' injury-depleted bullpen at some point once the big club needs a fresh arm.

  • Mariners' Juan Burgos: Sent down to Triple-A

The Mariners optioned Burgos to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday. Burgos did a fine job in his first four major-league relief appearances, yielding three runs with an 8:2 K:BB over 6.2 innings. His spot on the 26-man active roster and in the bullpen is being absorbed by lefty Brandyn Garcia, who was called up from Tacoma.
