Emilio Pagan RP | CIN
Reds' Emilio Pagan: Throwing from knees
Pagan (hamstring) is throwing from his knees in order to keep throwing while not putting stress on his strained hamstring, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox19.com reports.
Naturally, Pagan is eager to return, but we've seen plenty of setbacks from players trying to return from muscle injuries like this one. The Reds' bullpen has been cratering without Pagan, so the Reds will have to straddle their desire to get him back, his desire to return and his need to fully heal.

Will Klein RP | LAD
Dodgers' Will Klein: Earns first big-league save
Klein struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Padres.
The Dodgers took the lead in the top of the ninth inning, and they'd already deployed Alex Vesia, Blake Treinen and Tanner Scott in previous frames to keep the game tied. That left the save chance to Klein, and he got the job done on 10 pitches (seven strikes) for his first big-league save. Klein has added four holds over his last eight appearances. On the year, he has a 2.33 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB through 19.1 innings. Tuesday's usage likely isn't going to lead to many more saves for the right-hander, as he has mostly worked as a middle reliever this year.

Tony Santillan RP | CIN
Reds' Tony Santillan: Converts save Tuesday night
Santillan pitched a perfect ninth Tuesday, striking out two Phillies to get his second save of the season.
That makes two scoreless outings in a row for Santillan, who previously went through a brutal stretch in which he allowed at least one homer in four consecutive games. The Reds are going with the lukewarm hand right now as their closer, grasping at straws to find anyone to stabilize the back end of their bullpen, and they'll Santillan every chance to regain his early-season form -- he sported a 1.98 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 15:7 K:BB in 13.2 innings at the end of April.

Abner Uribe RP | MIL
Brewers' Abner Uribe: Locks down fifth save Tuesday
Uribe earned the save Tuesday against the Cubs, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.
Uribe entered with a three-run lead and made quick work of the bottom of Chicago's lineup, retiring the side in order to secure his fifth save in seven opportunities this season. The right-hander has struggled to establish consistency in 2026, failing to put together more than three consecutive scoreless appearances at any point, but he seems to be in control of the ninth-inning role as of now. Uribe now owns a 4.42 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 19:7 K:BB across 18.1 innings this season.

Riley O'Brien RP | STL
Cardinals' Riley O'Brien: Blows save Tuesday
O'Brien blew a save against the Pirates on Tuesday, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk over one inning.
O'Brien was called upon to protect a two-run lead in the ninth inning. He couldn't get the job done, largely due to his own wildness -- in addition to giving up two singles, he also walked one and hit two Pirates batters. This was O'Brien's fourth blown save of the season, though he still is tied for the third in the league with 13 successful saves. He's held the opponent without an earned run in 19 of his 23 outings but has given up multiple runs in his other four appearances.

Richard Lovelady RP | WAS
Nationals' Richard Lovelady: Collects third save of 2026
Lovelady earned the save in the Nationals' 9-6 win over the Mets on Tuesday after striking out one batter in a scoreless ninth.
With both Gus Varland and PJ Poulin being deployed in Monday's extra-inning loss, Nationals manager Blake Butera turned to Lovelady to protect the team's three-run lead. Lovelady answered the call, needing just 10 pitches (eight strikes) to close out Tuesday's game, and capped things off by striking out Carson Benge. Lovelady has a 2.61 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 20:14 K:BB across 20.2 innings this season.

Wyatt Mills RP | LAD
Dodgers' Wyatt Mills: Optioned to OKC
The Dodgers optioned Mills to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
After getting the call to join the active roster May 10, Mills allowed three earned runs on three hits and seven walks while striking out one batter in 3.1 innings across four appearances. He'll return to the minors to make room for Eric Lauer, though Mills will get to keep his spot on the 40-man roster for now.

Caleb Thielbar RP | CHC
Cubs' Caleb Thielbar: Reinstated from injured list
The Cubs activated Thielbar (hamstring) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday.
Thielbar wound up being sidelined for nearly a month with a left hamstring strain, but he's been cleared to return after making one scoreless rehab appearance. The left-hander had been serving as the Cubs' closer before he got hurt, but with Daniel Palencia now healthy, Thielbar will slide into a setup role.

Clay Holmes RP | NYM
Mets' Clay Holmes: Shifts to 60-day IL
The Mets transferred Holmes (fibula) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Tuesday.
The right-hander was recently shut down from all activities for 6-to-8 weeks due to a fractured right fibula, so it's hardly a surprise he's been moved to the 60-day IL. Holmes is expected to require about a month to build back up to game readiness once fully recovered, so he'll likely be sidelined until at least mid-August.

Anderson Severino RP | NYM
Mets' Anderson Severino: Optioned after contract selected
The Mets selected Severino's contract from Triple-A Syracuse and optioned him to Syracuse on Tuesday.
Severino likely had an opt-out clause in his minor-league contract, and the Mets have added him to the 40-man roster to prevent him from exercising it. He's posted a 1.04 ERA and 18:8 K:BB over 17.1 innings with Syracuse this season and could get a look the next time the Mets need a left-handed reliever.
