Padres' Robert Suarez: Slams door for MLB-high 20th save
Suarez picked up the save in Friday's 2-0 victory over Milwaukee, striking out one during a clean ninth inning.
Suarez turned in his ninth scoreless outing in a row after he yielded five runs the last time he allowed an earned run altogether back on May 12. The 34-year-old right-hander has been stellar overall in 2025, notching a 1.91 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 30:8 K:BB over 28.1 innings. Suarez has successfully converted 20 of his 22 save chances, and he also leads the major leagues in saves so far.

Dodgers' Ryan Loutos: Dropped from 40-man
The Dodgers designated Loutos for assignment Friday, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.
Loutos has given up five earned runs in three major-league innings this season, and he'll now end up as the roster casualty necessary to make room for Chris Stratton. Despite his big-league struggles, Loutos owns a 2.41 ERA across 18.2 total innings in Triple-A, so there could be a few other clubs out there willing to add the 26-year-old to their 40-man.

Diamondbacks' Tommy Henry: Sent back to Triple-A
The Diamondbacks optioned Henry to Triple-A Reno on Friday.
Henry was called up Tuesday and appeared in one game during his brief MLB stint, allowing three runs with seven Ks over four innings Thursday. He'll yield his spot on the active roster to Eduardo Rodriguez (shoulder), who'll rejoin the rotation after an IL stint.

Braves' Daysbel Hernandez: On IL with forearm injury
Atlanta placed Hernandez on the 15-day injured list Friday, retroactive to June 5, with right forearm inflammation.
Hernandez exited Wednesday's game due to numbness in his right pinky, but he's been added to the injured list with a forearm injury. Hernandez has been a dependable option out of the bullpen this season, posting a 2.22 ERA and 1.40 WHIP across 24.1 innings. Dylan Dodd was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding move.

Braves' Dylan Dodd: Joining Atlanta
Atlanta recalled Dodd from Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.
Dodd has bounced back and forth between the majors and Triple-A, and he'll join the big-league bullpen Friday. Dodd hasn't allowed a run in 1.2 innings with Atlanta this season, but he owns a 5.40 ERA across 18.1 innings with Gwinnett.

Rockies' Ryan Rolison: Working as opener Friday
Rolison will open Friday's game against the Mets, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Rolison will make his first big-league start Friday, but he'll likely only pitch an inning or two before handing the ball off to Antonio Senzatela. In seven appearances this season, Rolison has a 4.50 ERA spanning 10 innings.

Atlanta selected Kimbrel's contract from Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.
Kimbrel is set for his 2025 MLB debut, joining Atlanta's bullpen after logging a 2.45 ERA in 14.2 innings with Gwinnett this season. His role within the bullpen is unclear, but the 37-year-old will look to reclaim his previous form after logging a 5.33 ERA in 2024 with Baltimore.

Phillies' Seth Johnson: Sent back down
The Phillies optioned Johnson to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Friday.
Johnson made his 2025 MLB debut Thursday, allowing one run over two innings. With the Phillies having a bullpen game Friday against Pittsburgh, they'll add a fresh arm to the bullpen in Alan Rangel. Johnson has a 4.91 ERA over 33 innings with Lehigh Valley this season.

The Phillies recalled Rangel from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Friday.
Rangel will provide some immediate help to the Phillies' bullpen ahead of Friday's bullpen game against the Pirates. He'll be making his MLB debut if he gets into a game. The 27-year-old has a 5.02 ERA in 57.1 innings spanning 12 starts for Lehigh Valley this season. Seth Johnson was optioned in a corresponding move.
