Despite striking out a season-high 10 batters during Tuesday's start against the Nationals, Braves pitcher Shelby Miller received his fourth loss of the season for his effort.

Miller allowed five runs (four earned) on eight hits over five innings of work during the 6-1 loss. He also walked three batters and is now 5-4 with a 2.20 ERA. His biggest mistake came in the first inning when he gave up a two-run home run to Clint Robinson.

Miller is now winless in his last eight starts, but he has received a quality start in six of those starts.

Reds pitcher Raisel Iglesias started a minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday. 

Iglesias is on the disabled list with a strained left oblique and hadn't pitched in a month. 

Iglesias threw three shutout innings, allowing one hit and one walk. He struck out three and threw 27 strikes in 43 pitches. He also threw a wild pitch. 

The Rockies moved pitcher John Axford to the temporary inactive list on Tuesday, according to MLB.com. 

The Rockies also placed right-handed pitcher Christian Bergman on the disabled list due to right shoulder fatigue. As a result, Colorado recalled right-handed pitcher Justin Miller and left-handed pitcher Yohan Flande. 

Cardinals reliever Matt Belisle has been placed on the disabled list with right elbow inflammation. The move has been made retroactive to June 26.

Belisle had been struggling a bit before going down with four runs allowed in his last three innings pitched. But he had not yielded a run in his previous eight appearances and has maintained a decent 3.00 ERA.

Brewers pitcher Jimmy Nelson pitched just well enough to earn his fifth win of the season during Monday's 7-4 win over the Phillies.

Nelson allowed four runs on six hits over five innings of work. He also struck out three and walked two during the outing. He did not surrender a home run and he is now 5-8 with a 4.48 ERA.

Monday was his second win in a row. Over his last three starts, Nelson has given up a total of eight runs over 18 innings of work.

Reds starting pitcher Raisel Iglesias will begin his rehab stint Tuesday for Triple-A Louisville, per the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Iglesias has been sidelined for a month with a strained left oblique. He started four of the six games in which he appeared before going down and remains saddled with a 5.11 ERA.

The Marlins have received multiple trade inquiries for starting pitchers Mat Latos and Dan Haren, sources told Fox Sports. Teams have also expressed interest in starting pitcher Tom Koehler and reliever Brad Hand.

Latos and Haren, who are in their first seasons with the Marlins following offseason trades, will be free agents after the season.

Koehler is under team control through 2018, while Hand is under team control through 2019.

Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen earned his 11th save of the season with a scoreless ninth in Sunday's win over Miami. 

Jansen protected a two-run lead, striking out one and allowing one hit. 

Jansen has converted four straight save opportunities and has turned in seven straight scoreless outings. 

Rockies left-hander Chris Rusin was knocked around for five runs (two earned) on 10 hits over 6 1/3 innings against the Giants on Saturday. Rustin walked one and struck out four, but was left with a no-decision int he 7-5 loss.

Rustin gave up three runs in the third inning, thanks in-part to an error and a two-run double by Buster Posey. Rustin then served up a solo home run to Matt Duffy in the fifth inning, leaving the Rockies with a 5-4 lead at the time.

But the wheels came off in the seventh. Rustin was lifted with a runner on and one out in the inning. But a walk and two doubles later, the Giants grabbed the 7-5 lead, and would hold on for the win.

"We gave them a couple extra outs one inning, but Russ did a great job -- really threw the ball well, commanded it, gave us some length," Rockies manager Walt Weiss said, per MLB.com. "He was battling all day. It's a tough lineup to get through multiple times. He certainly gave us a shot to win that game."

Rustin actually lowered his ERA to 4.69 in this one, though it still was not a very effective outing overall.

Iglesias is on the disabled list with a strained left oblique. He threw 45 pitches on Saturday and should begin a rehab stint laster this week, per the Cincinnati Enquirer.
