Ellington was recalled from Triple-A New Orleans on Sunday, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald

Ellington will provide the Marlins with an extra right-handed arm out of the pen, likely serving in a similar role as 2015. He'll take the roster spot of Cody Hall, who was optioned to New Orleans in a corresponding move.

Treinen allowed one hit and struck out three in 1.2 innings during Saturday's loss to the Reds.

That's now nine straight scoreless appearances for Treinen, who has a strong 2.70 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 25:10 K:BB in 23.1 innings this season. He doesn't get used in particularly high-leverage situations, however, and with no saves and only five holds, his fantasy value is somewhat limited. If injuries or trades were to shake up the Nats' bullpen, Treinen might end up being the biggest beneficiary.

Melancon notched his 17th save in Saturday's 8-7 victory over the Angels, pitching a perfect ninth inning.

The star closer was brought in to protect a one-run lead after the Pirates' dynamic five-run comeback two frames earlier, and got the job done in just six pitches. It was the 13th consecutive successfully converted save opportunity for Melancon, who set down opposing hitters in order for the second straight appearance.

Rodney worked around one walk with two strikeouts in 1.1 innings to earn his 11th save of the season Saturday versus the Rockies.

The veteran became notorious for his inconsistency in prior seasons, but he is in the midst of an excellent year for San Diego, as he has still yet to allow an earned run through 21.1 innings and is perfect in save situations. A potential trade could put a damper on Rodney's fantasy value down the road, but he should continue serving as a solid fantasy reliever in the meantime.

Robles (ankle) gave up one run on one hit and two walks while striking out two in 0.2 innings Saturday against the Marlins.

He suffered a minor ankle sprain Wednesday, but he has already put that behind him apparently. Robles has given up six runs in his last 3.1 innings of work, and his rank in the Mets bullpen has taken a hit as a result.

Boscan was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday, Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Boscan was hit hard in his outing against the Angels on Friday, allowing two earned runs with four hits and four walks while recording just one strikeout in 3.1 innings. The Pirates also optioned Rob Scahill on Saturday and recalled relievers Cory Luebke and Curtis Partch.

Nelson was hammered for six runs on seven hits, walking three and striking out one while lasting just four innings in a 6-3 loss to Philadelphia on Friday night.

This broke a string of four consecutive quality starts - eight of his 11 starts have been quality. However, it should be noted that Nelson (5-4) sometimes litters the bases with extra runners. He has generally been able to wiggle off the hook, but any time you put extra runners on base, you run the risk of a big inning. He'll try to get back on track in his next start against the Mets in Milwaukee.

Gomez logged a perfect ninth inning to record his 18th save in the Phillies 6-3 win over Milwaukee on Friday night. He struck out two.

It's true - Gomez doesn't have the dominating stuff of most closers, but there have been others who enjoyed success with average stuff. With 18 saves and a very respectable 2.79 ERA, Gomez is quickly adding himself to that list. And, in the process he is likely building considerable job security.

Pomeranz (5-5) tossed seven scoreless innings during Friday's win against the Rockies, in which he allowed only two hits and two walks while fanning eight.

The success of Pomeranz in the San Diego rotation has been a bright spot for the Padres through the first two-plus months of the 2016 season. He continues to miss bats at an elite clip (10.3 K/9), while avoiding the damage of his free passes (4.3 BB/9) by getting many of his outs on the ground (49.0% GB%) and keeping the ball in the park (0.55 HR/9). He'll take on the Braves at home Wednesday in his next scheduled start.

Rusin (1-4) allowed four runs (three earned) on four hits and two walks over the course of seven innings against the Padres on Friday, but he was credited with the loss. He struck out three.

Rusin threw 55 of his 90 pitches for strikes, but a three-run homer allowed to Matt Kemp proved to be too much for the Colorado offense to overcome against Drew Pomeranz on Friday night. The 29-year-old lefty has allowed 10 runs in his last two starts, and he will look to bounce back in his next outing against the Dodgers on the road Wednesday.
