De La Rosa (elbow) will not need to undergo Tommy John surgery according to Dr. James Andrews, Jack Magruder of the Diamondbacks' official site reports.

De La Rosa was placed on the 15-day DL on May 27 after suffering from right elbow inflammation. The MRI revealed that his ligament was stretched in the pitching arm, and he will likely need three to four months to recover. De La Rosa and the Diamondbacks are targeting a return sometime in August or early in September.

Belisle (calf) gave up two hits and one earned run in one inning Sunday for Double-A Harrisburg.

This was Belisle's third rehab game with Harrisburg after injuring his calf during a Nationals game in late April. He has allowed two earned runs in four innings of work at Harrisburg and is expected to rejoin the Nationals' bullpen soon.

Boscan is expected to be recalled for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Mets, Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune reports.

Boscan will return to the Pirates after being sent down to Indianapolis over the weekend. The right-hander has made five appearances for the big league club on the season, allowing nine hits and four earned runs, while issuing five walks and striking out six, across 12.1 cumulative innings.

Castro was demoted to Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday.

Castro has a big arm (95.8 mph average fastball) and has done well for a 21-year-old at Coors Field, posting a 3.75 ERA and 1.08 WHIP over 12 innings. Unfortunately, the Rockies needed to option somebody to make room for lefty Boone Logan's return to the bullpen. Castro is still a part of the future in Colorado, and he should find himself back with the big club at some point before the season ends.

Bracho was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Monday, Jack Magruder of Fanrag Sports reports.

Bracho received the demotion with David Peralta returning from the 15-day DL. The 23-year-old has been relatively unimpressive during a couple of brief stints with Arizona this year, yielding nine hits, five walks and five earned runs over just six innings of work. He'll likely stay in the minors until the D-backs need another fresh arm in the bullpen.

Sierra tossed five innings of one-hit, shutout ball with six strikeouts Sunday for High-A Rancho Cucamonga.

Sierra still has a bloated 7.11 ERA, but at least this day, he put things together. Given he's still in High-A ball, Sierra seems unlikely to contribute at the big league level this year.

Bard signed a minor-league contract with the Cardinals last week, Baseball America reports.

A former ace setup man for the Red Sox earlier in the decade, Bard had a legendary fall from grace when his command inexplicably betrayed him in 2012. He's struggled to recover ever since, and was most recently with the Pirates in spring training before he was ultimately released. Now 30 years old and more than two years removed from pitching in affiliated ball, the odds are against Bard reaching the big leagues again.

Lopez allowed three earned runs and posted a 5:2 K:BB over 5.2 innings in a game with Triple-A Colorado Springs on Sunday.

Lopez did not technically start Sunday, but he entered the game in the second inning and still threw 94 pitches. While he pitched into a sixth frame Sunday, he was not very sharp and still owns unsightly ratios -- a 6.04 ERA and 1.88 WHIP -- on the season.

Iglesias (shoulder) will work in relief upon his return to the Reds, Zach Buchanan of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Iglesias has now endured multiple shoulder injuries since his arrival in the majors, so it's not too surprising to see the Reds taking a conservative approach with the young right-hander. The team is targeting a return that is approximately three weeks from Sunday, but it doesn't appear fantasy owners will have much to look forward to. The Reds haven't completely ruled out exercising Iglesias as a starter down the road, but for now, he'll provide much-needed assistance to a dismal bullpen.

Ellington was recalled from Triple-A New Orleans on Sunday, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald

Ellington will provide the Marlins with an extra right-handed arm out of the pen, likely serving in a similar role as 2015. He'll take the roster spot of Cody Hall, who was optioned to New Orleans in a corresponding move.
