Reyes will start Saturday's game against the A's, MLB.com's Jenifer Langosch reports.

Reyes will make his first major league start Saturday in place of Mike Leake, who has been diagnosed with shingles. Reyes has worked only out of the bullpen so far with the Cardinals, but he is one of the game's top pitching prospects, so this figures to be his first start of many for the club.

Strop (knee) has resumed jogging, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.

Now two weeks removed from undergoing an arthroscopic procedure, Strop has been cleared for some light running and should be able to gradually ramp up his activity from here. He was handed a four-to-six week estimated recovery timetable after having the knee scoped.

Moore (8-10) came within one out of a no-hitter Thursday, ultimately holding the Dodgers scoreless with one hit, three walks and seven strikeouts over 8.2 frames.

A clean single to right by Corey Seager spoiled Moore's bid for his first career no-no, but this was still a spectacular outing for the lefty. However, after he threw a whopping 133 pitches -- a scary prospect for a guy with his injury history -- en route to his first win as a Giant, Moore may not be a safe fantasy play when he makes his next start Wednesday against Arizona.

Stewart was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, J.P. Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group reports.

Stewart has had a rough time on the mound with the Dodgers this season, allowing 15 runs (including five home runs) over 12 innings of action. However, he's been fantastic with Oklahoma City, posting a 2.49 ERA and 0.94 WHIP across nine starts. The Dodgers may opt to use him as a starter during his latest stint with the big club, although they've also used him as a reliever in the past.

De Leon will not be called up to start Saturday against the Cubs, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.

De Leon will not come up Saturday as some had speculated (Julio Urias will get the nod), but those stashing the promising right-hander may only have to wait one additional day. Kenta Maeda has been pushed back to Monday, leaving Sunday's starter as "TBA." De Leon is currently listed as Sunday's probable starter for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Leone was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Thursday.

Aside from a three-run meltdown against the Mets on Aug. 17, Leone had been solid out of the pen over the past two weeks. However, he had been used quite a bit of late, so the Diamondbacks optioned him and Steve Hathaway to get some fresh arms back up to the bullpen. Leone could rejoin the club once rosters expand next week.

Bracho was recalled by the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

The Diamondbacks made a flurry of moves Thursday to get some fresh arms in the bullpen to help an otherwise taxed group of relievers. Bracho and Jose Campos will rejoin the big league club while Dominic Leone and Steve Hathaway will head back to Triple-A Reno. Bracho owns a 6.75 ERA and 1.77 WHIP at the major league level this season, but he will add a fresh arm to the Diamondbacks bullpen.

Lopez was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday, William Ladson of MLB.com reports.

Lopez looked to be trending towards remaining in the rotation heading into his most recent start, but he gave up six runs (four earned) in just 2.2 innings of work in that outing. With that, the Nationals sent him down, but it may not be for a particularly long time. Given that rosters expand next week, Lopez could certainly rejoin the Nationals in the near future. Prior to his tough start Tuesday, he flashed serious potential, fanning 11 Braves over seven innings to pick up his second career win.

Whalen (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day DL Thursday.

The move was expected after he lasted just 2.2 innings in his last start, as the rookie is dealing with fatigue in his right shoulder. It's unclear if Whalen will be able to return this season, but with little to play for in the standings, Atlanta may elect to play it safely. Brandon Cunniff, Brandon Snyder, and Matt Wisler will all rejoin the major league roster in a series of corresponding moves Thursday.

Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale said Hudson will likely move into a late-inning role, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Given the recent struggles of Jake Barrett and Enrique Burgos at the back end of the Arizona bullpen, the announcement makes sense. Hale said both Hudson and Randall Delgado could be used in high-leverage situations going forward. Hudson recorded 20 holds a season ago and has 17 in 2016, so he's probably the safer bet of the two to see save opportunities.
