Garcia tossed a scoreless inning with one strikeout in Monday's 11-4 win over the Braves.

Garcia lowered his ERA to 1.83 and now has a 12:4 K:BB in 19.2 innings. His strikeout rate is down significantly from his past stints in the majors, but so is his walk rate. A 3.91 FIP indicates his ERA could be on the rise in the future.

Pivetta (1-2) allowed three runs on six hits and three walks across five innings during Monday's win over the Braves. He struck out four.

Pivetta, who was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to make his first start since mid-May, fired three scoreless innings to begin the game. An infield hit and a walk proceeded a two-run double from Carlos Camargo in the fourth, with the hosts manufacturing another run in the next frame, after which the rookie's night came to a close. Despite the multitude of baserunners, Pivetta mitigated the damage for the most part and was handed his first career victory thanks to a big night from the offense. While he carries an uninspiring 5.18 ERA and a 25:12 K:BB through 24.1 innings at the big-league level this season, Pivetta is scheduled to face the Cardinals on Saturday, looking to build on this win.

Iglesias struck out the side as he worked around a walk in a scoreless inning for his 10th save of the season Monday against the Cardinals.

Iglesias struck out the first two men he faced before walking Tommy Pham, but he got right back to work and fanned Paul De Jong to end the game. The Cuban closer has been outstanding this season, posting a 0.61 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 10.7 K/9 across 29.1 innings.

With Wade Davis set to miss up to three games after landing on the paternity list Monday, Edwards could be in line for save opportunities in the short term.

The Cubs like to talk about Edwards as a potential closer, and he may get his chance to show what he can do in the ninth inning while Davis is attending the birth of his child. Edwards has been great this season, sporting a 0.83 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 29 strikeouts in 21.2 innings.

Floro was recalled from Triple-A Iowa on Monday, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Wade Davis (personal) was placed on the paternity list Monday, so Floro will take his spot in the Cubs' bullpen. Since Davis' leave will only last three days at most, Floro will likely head back to Iowa relatively soon.

Yates fired a pair of scoreless innings in relief Sunday, striking out three in a loss to the Rockies.

The 30-year-old struggled in his first three years in the AL East, but a move to the west coast has proven beneficial for the hard-throwing righty. In 16.1 innings with the Padres, Yates owns a 1.65 ERA and an 11.9 K/9, making him a top right-handed reliever on a club that lacks many.

Law (3-1) was the losing pitcher of record after giving up two runs over 1.2 innings in a 9-7 loss to the Phillies on Sunday.

Law was putting together a solid season -- including a successful run as the team's closer -- but he's run into trouble recently, giving up runs in three of his last four appearances while watching his ERA jump to 3.60. The 26-year-old's velocity and strikeout rates are on par with last year's dominant debut, but his control (3.2 BB/9) and command of the strike zone (1.4 HR/9) have taken hits, resulting in run-of-the-mill results. Law should still be a decent source of holds and a good handcuff for Mark Melancon, but he doesn't appear to be the ratio-boosting middle reliever that he was last season.

Pivetta was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley ahead of his scheduled start Monday against the Braves.

The Phillies' recent decision to demote Zach Eflin to Triple-A coupled with Vince Velasquez's (elbow) placement on the disabled list will open a rotation spot back up for Pivetta, who made four starts with the big club earlier this season. Pivetta accrued an underwhelming 5.12 ERA and 1.81 WHIP over 19.1 innings, but his 21 strikeouts over that span seemingly give him a whiff of upside. He'll line up for two starts this week in his return to the Phillies, with his second turn expected to come Saturday in St. Louis.

Bowman (1-2) gave up an earned run on three hits over an inning in Sunday's 7-6 loss to the Cubs.

Bowman was on the hook for the loss once he surrendered a go-ahead single to Jon Jay in the seventh, and the Cardinals' offense was unable to bail him out over the final two innings. The 26-year-old right-hander has hit multiple rough patches since seeing his streak of 19.2 scoreless innings snapped back on April 25. Bowman has given up 14 runs (12 earned) in the 14 innings spanning his 15 appearances since April 30, leading to a 7.71 ERA and .362 wOBA over that stretch.

Nelson tossed eight scoreless innings and struck out 11 batters in the Brewers' loss to the Dodgers on Friday.

Nelson exited the contest with a 1-0 lead against the Dodgers and Clayton Kershaw, but the Brewers ceded the lead in the ninth inning. While that cost Nelson the win, his outing was still quite noteworthy, as he gave up just five hits and struck out double-digit batters without issuing a walk for the second straight start. Nelson owned a 5.34 ERA at the end of April, but he's been brilliant since, posting a 1.77 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 42:6 K:BB in 35.2 innings over six starts.
