Szapucki tossed six scoreless innings for Low-A Columbia on Sunday, scattering two hits and two walks while striking out 10.

He ended up with a no-decision in a 2-1 loss to Kannapolis, but Szapucki still put together his best start of the season so far. The 21-year-old lefty got a late start to his campaign due to a shoulder impingement and will need to avoid further arm issues if he's going to realize his massive upside, but he already has three solid to plus pitches with a mid-90s fastball, sharp curve and nasty slider, so Szapucki could move quickly through the Mets' system now that he's healthy.

Floro is expected to be sent down to Triple-A Monday to make room for Jeimer Candelario on the MLB roster, Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Candelario is getting the call because Addison Russell suffered a shoulder injury Sunday and the team needs infield depth. Floro just got called up on Thursday and did not appear in a game during this stint at the MLB level. He'll likely be back up with the Cubs at some point later this year, perhaps as soon as Russell heals up.

Montero grabbed his first win of the year Sunday, giving up one earned run on five hits while striking out seven in San Francisco. He lasted 5.2 innings.

The seven whiffs are a season high for the Dominican native, who still owns an ugly 5.63 ERA despite allowing just two earned runs across his last 12.1 innings. It's unclear whether the reliever will take another turn in the rotation, as that decision likely hinges on the availability of Zack Wheeler (biceps) for Saturday's matchup against the Phillies.

Moore gave up five earned runs on seven hits in 4.1 innings to the Mets on Sunday. He walked three and struck out five while taking the loss 8-2.

This was the second time in his last three starts that Moore has been bounced before the fifth inning, which happened largely thanks to Rene Rivera's pair of homers. The 28-year-old now owns a 3-8 record with an awful 6.04 ERA on the year, and he'll look to bounce back Saturday on the road in Pittsburgh.

Mayers was called up to the majors from Triple-A Memphis on Sunday.

Mayers made a spot start last July and was lit up for nine runs in 1.1 innings and also came up last season as a September call-up. The right-hander impressed during spring training this season, and he was 5-6 with a 3.74 ERA in 14 starts (77 innings) this season with Memphis.

Lamet struck out five and gave up three runs (two earned) on three hits and one walk in a no-decision against the Tigers on Saturday.

This was Lamet's second consecutive quality start, which is a good sign following a string of poor efforts. Lamet held Detroit scoreless until the fifth inning, when it scored all three runs against him. The right-hander has allowed five earned runs over his last two starts (12 innings).

Bracho was recalled from Triple-A Reno on Saturday.

He will return for what is already his fifth stint with the big club this season, replacing Jeremy Hazelbaker on the active roster. Bracho has struggled with the Diamondbacks this year, but he figures to continue getting chances when the team is in need of a fresh arm.

Wittgren has an ERA of 2.73 with 31 strikeouts and four holds this season.

Wittgren has avoided the sophomore slump this year, improving almost every stat from his rookie season. Despite the success, the former ninth-round draft pick hasn't seen much action in high-leverage situations, but the four holds in the last month are reassuring for those holding out hope that his role will only get bigger as the season unfolds.

Gearrin tossed a pair of scoreless innings against the Mets on Friday, lowering his ERA to 2.23 despite owning a 4.19 FIP.

The sinker-baller has been avoiding a regression all season despite carrying ratios that indicate one would be coming. That said, his 2.23 ERA is still one of the better marks in the Giants' bullpen, so he should continue to be one of the first righties manager Bruce Bochy turns to out of the 'pen.

Rusin has five holds and 12 earned runs in 38.1 innings out of the bullpen for Colorado.

Now in his third season for the Rockies, Rusin has seen his role change to the bullpen a little more each year and has now been used exclusively as a reliever. The result has been an ERA of 2.82 and WHIP of 1.02, both career bests. Still, the potential for Rusin to get a start at some point this season remains, making him an interesting risk for those in deeper formats.
