Moore (3-11) surrendered four runs over five innings in Wednesday's loss to the A's. He struck out four while giving up six hits and three walks.

The veteran lefty has had a brutal season with few redeeming qualities, and it hasn't been getting better. He's allowed a homer in five consecutive starts, including Ryon Healy's two-run blast in this one, and his ERA and WHIP are up to 5.80 and 1.60, respectively. The occasional solid outing he churns out simply doesn't make up for the 28-year-old's struggles in the vast majority of his starts, and with a matchup with the Cubs up next, those rostering him don't have much to look forward to.

Suter (2-2) surrendered five runs on eight hits with one walk and seven strikeouts over 5.1 innings in Wednesday's loss to the Cardinals.

Most of the damage against Suter came in the sixth inning, as Yadier Molina led off the frame with his second home run of the game and Kolten Wong drove in a pair of inherited runners with a double off newly acquired reliever Jeremy Jeffress. The 27-year-old lefty still has a solid 3.04 ERA in 50.1 innings, and has earned the right to make his seventh consecutive start Monday in Minnesota.

Iglesias gave up a hit and two walks while striking out one in two scoreless innings Wednesday to record his 18th save of the season in a 5-2 win over the Pirates.

It's the seventh time this year Iglesias has been asked to get more than three outs to notch a save. With the trade deadline having come and gone and the 27-year-old still with Cincinnati, Iglesias should be a strong source of saves, strikeouts and ratios for the remainder of the season.

Stephenson gave up only one run on two hits and two walks over 5.2 innings while striking out four but came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Pirates.

The right-hander cruised through five innings with a 2-0 lead, but with a runner on second base and two outs in the sixth he got pulled in favor of Michael Lorenzon, who promptly allowed the inherited runner to score and then coughed up a second run as well to deny Stephenson his first big-league win of the year. It's still an encouraging outing for the 24-year-old, but with Scott Feldman (knee) potentially returning to the rotation next week, Stephenson may head back to the bullpen.

Wang was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs following Wednesday's game against the Cardinals, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The Brewers need to open a roster spot for Thursday's starter Matt Garza, and Wang was chosen as the roster casualty. He only appeared in one game before being sent back to the minors, allowing a hit without recording an out. He could return later in the year should Milwaukee need another lefty bullpen arm.

Vizcaino struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning to earn his third save of the season.

Vizcaino and Jim Johnson are expected to split ninth-inning opportunities moving forward, but it appears Vizcaino may be the more favorable option as he was deployed in the Braves' first save situation. He also owns an impressive 2.56 ERA with 42 strikeouts in 38.2 innings this season, compared to Johnson's 3.97 clip with 54 strikeouts through 45.1 innings.

Stewart allowed two runs on three hits and three walks through four innings in Wednesday's loss to the Braves. He struck out one.

It was another short outing for Stewart, though he ultimately held his own in his second start of the season. The 25-year-old has allowed just two earned runs over 7.2 innings in his pair of spot starts, but it seems unlikely that he'll get another turn in the rotation with the recent addition of Yu Darvish. He still owns a shiny 0.89 ERA in 20.2 major-league innings this season, so he could transition to a long-relief role.

Edgin cleared waivers Wednesday and was outrighted to Triple-A Las Vegas, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.

Edgin was designated for assignment Sunday, and it seems that no other team was allured by the reliever's 3.65 ERA in 37 big-league innings this season. Unless a trade happens before the end of August, Edgin will move into an organizational depth role.

Adleman will not make his next scheduled start against the Cardinals, Zach Buchanan of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Manager Bryan Price instead will turn to Asher Wojciechowski to make the start in a move that was deemed to be performance-related. Adleman allowed five and six runs in his past two starts, respectively, so the 29-year-old's bump from the rotation certainly seems to be warranted at this point. However, even if he is able to pick things up in the bullpen, it may be tough to work his way back into the rotation given that Scott Feldman (knee) and Anthony DeSclafani (elbow) are expected to return from their respective injuries relatively soon.

Stewart will start Wednesday's game against the Braves, Alanah Rizzo of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

With Brandon McCarthy (finger) not set to return from the disabled list this week and with the newly acquired Yu Darvish not making his Dodgers debut until Friday against the Mets, Stewart will receive another turn through the rotation as the team's fifth starter. Stewart failed to escape the fourth inning in his first start of the season July 26 against the Twins, giving up five unearned runs and allowing five hits and one walk. If Stewart is able to deliver better results Wednesday, manager Dave Roberts could keep the right-hander around in long-relief role following the start.
