  • Aaron Loup RP | LAA

Phillies' Aaron Loup: Dealt to Phillies

Loup was traded to the Phillies for Jacob Waguespack on Tuesday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Loup logged a 4.54 ERA and 1.60 WHIP with a career-high 10.6 K/9 across 35.2 innings of relief with the Blue Jays this year. In addition, Loup has cut down on his walk rate this year, and a 3.65 FIP with a .406 BABIP suggests that he's due for some better results over the next couple months.

  • Tony Santillan RP | CIN

Reds' Tony Santillan: Dominant since promotion

Santillan has been dominant at Double-A Pensacola since his promotion, including a 5.2-inning scoreless outing Monday night where he struck out 11 batters, the Reds' official site reports.

Overall, Santillan has a 1.84 ERA in five outings for Pensacola over 29.1 innings, with a 32:7 K:BB ratio and just one homer allowed. RotoWire rates Santillan as the Reds' #8 prospect.

  • Zac Curtis RP | PHI

Phillies' Zac Curtis: Designated for assignment

Curtis was designated for assignment by the Phillies on Tuesday.

Curtis has an excellent 1.86 ERA in 9.2 innings for the Phillies this season, though his underlying numbers don't support that success, as he's walked as many batters as he's struck out (10). The move makes room on the 40-man roster for deadline-day acquisition Wilson Ramos.

  • Shelby Miller RP | CHC

Diamondbacks' Shelby Miller: Shifts to 60-day DL

Miller (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list on Tuesday, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic Arizona reports.

Miller lasted just four poor starts in his return from Tommy John surgery before being shut down again with elbow inflammation. An MRI revealed no further UCL damage, but the shift to the 60-day disabled list indicates that Miller's injury is a serious one. He'll be ineligible to return until Sept. 11, and at this point it's possible that the Diamondbacks just keep him on the DL to recover for the rest of the season. The transaction makes room on the roster for deadline-day acquisition Brad Ziegler.

  • Tyler Webb RP | MIN

Cardinals' Tyler Webb: Called up from minors

Webb will return to the big leagues after being recalled from Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday.

Webb continues to be shuttled up and down between St. Louis and Memphis, this time to take the roster spot of Carlos Martinez (shoulder), who was put on the 10-day DL in a corresponding move. Expect to see Webb utilized in low-leverage situations during his stay in the big leagues.

  • Dakota Hudson SP | LAA

Cardinals' Dakota Hudson: First big-league win

Hudson (1-0) allowed a hit and a walk over a scoreless inning in an extra-inning win over the Rockies on Monday. He also recorded a strikeout.

The rookie worked around a couple of trouble spots in his one frame and then was awarded a win courtesy of Marcell Ozuna's walkoff blast in the home half of the 10th. Hudson was enjoying a stellar campaign at Triple-A Memphis before his recent callup, and it's possible he will get a look as a starter with the big club in the near future with Carlos Martinez (shoulder) headed back to the disabled list.

  • Jimmy Nelson RP | LAD

Brewers' Jimmy Nelson: Status remains uncertain

Manager Craig Counsell did not provide an update on Nelson's (shoulder) status when asked Monday.

Nelson continues to work his way through a throwing program, but he has not made any significant progress in a while, and is running out of time to help both fantasy owners and the Brewers down the stretch.

  • Cardinals' Genesis Cabrera: Sent to St. Louis

Cabrera was sent to the Cardinals from the Rays on Tuesday along with Justin Williams and Roel Ramirez in exchange for Tommy Pham and international slot money, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Cabrera has a mediocre 4.12 ERA in 113.2 innings for Double-A Montgomery so far this season. The 21-year-old lefty's 26.2 percent strikeout rate is promising, though he's walking too many batters (12.0 percent). The poor command and lack of any particularly interesting secondary offerings give reason to believe he'll end up a reliever, but since he's still young the Cardinals could give him more time to prove that he can start.

  • Josh Hader RP | HOU

Brewers' Josh Hader: Notches win in victory

Hader tossed two scoreless innings and picked up his fourth win of the season in Monday's victory over the Dodgers. He did not allow a hit and posted a 3:2 K:BB during the outing.

Manager Craig Counsell summoned Hader in the fifth inning Monday -- the earliest he has entered a game since April 6 -- and Hader made his manager look good, keeping the Dodgers at bay while maintaining a three-run lead. Hader has been lights-out since the All-Star break, going 2-0 with a 0.71 WHIP and 10:2 K:BB over 5.2 scoreless innings.

  • A.J. Minter RP | MIN

Braves' A.J. Minter: Earns sixth save of season versus Marlins

Minter worked around a hit with a pair of strikeouts in a scoreless inning of work to earn his sixth save of the season Monday against the Marlins.

Minter allowed a one-out single but otherwise encountered little trouble as he retired the side on 14 pitches. This effective outing lowered his ERA to 2.98 for the season while giving him a 13.5 K/9 over his last 10 outings. Minter has taken to the closer's job quite well and is among the more appealing fantasy relievers to own at the moment with Arodys Vizcaino (shoulder) still not even throwing.
