Beede held the Blue Jays to one run on four hits and three walks with five strikeouts over 2.1 innings in Tuesday's 7-3 loss.

Beede was the first arm out of the bullpen following opener Nick Vincent. The 25-year-old entered the contest with a sky-high 18.69 ERA over his previous two starts, so this outing was certainly a step in the right direction. That said, seven baserunners and 61 pitches to record seven outs is not the kind of production that inspires confidence. It is unclear if Beede will get another "start" with the club's rotation in disarray, but if he does, it will come Sunday on the road against Arizona.

Peralta struck out the side in his one inning pitched Tuesday night against the Cubs.

With the outing Peralta's ERA dropped to 3.14 and his WHIP went down to 1.12, and he has a 13:5 K:BB over 14.1 innings. He's usually pitching when the Reds are trailing, as he did Tuesday, so he has no saves and only one hold.

Wingenter (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Tuesday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Wingenter was eligible to be activated off the 10-day injured list Tuesday but will instead require a few extra days before returning to the majors. The Padres may have the 25-year-old throw another bullpen session before activating him, but it doesn't sound as though a minor-league rehab assignment will be necessary.

Jansen picked up the save against the Padres on Tuesday, working around one hit to fire a scoreless ninth inning in a 6-3 victory for the Dodgers. He struck out one and walked none.

Jansen picked up his first save since May 4 with this scoreless effort for his 13th of the season in 15 opportunities. His 4.19 ERA is uncharacteristically high, but that's mainly due to a four-run blowup against San Diego on May 5. He still boasts a 0.98 WHIP and 26:4 K:BB through 19.1 innings, and his ERA is likely to correct back toward his career mark of 2.27 as he logs more innings.

Reyes (finger) threw approximately 70 pitches in an extended spring training appearance Monday, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.

Reyes continues to work with a splint on his injured left pinkie finger, which is due to be reexamined near the end of the week. Reyes could gain clearance to begin using a glove in that evaluation, which would then result in him graduating to playing defense in a controlled setting or in a game for High-A Palm Beach.

Biddle (groin) allowed three runs on four hits and a walk in one-third of an inning in Tuesday's 14-3 loss to the Cardinals.

The 27-year-old reliever missed about two-and-a-half weeks with the injury, and struggled in a lopsided game. Biddle is 0-1 on the year with a 5.40 ERA after the poor relief appearance.

Ferguson (oblique) is expected to be activated off the 10-day injured list Friday, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Ferguson made two minor-league rehab appearances over the last week, clearing the way for his return to the majors. The 22-year-old had a 3.46 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 14:8 K:BB over 13 innings prior to sustaining the left oblique injury at the end of April.

Pomeranz (lat) completed a four-inning, 60-pitch live bullpen session Tuesday, Amy Gutierrez of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Pomeranz also apparently passed all the tests necessary to come off the injured list after suffering the left lat strain last week. The 30-year-old appears to be near a return but it's unclear whether or not the Giants plan to send him on a brief minor-league rehab assignment.

Chargois was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Chargois returns to Los Angeles after Julio Urias was placed on administrative leave. Chargois had a 3.34 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 40:15 K:BB over 32.1 innings for the Dodgers last season, but has pitched in only two major-league games in 2019.

Wilson's sore left elbow has no structural damage, Justin Toscano of The Bergen Record reports.

Wilson lasted just five days upon his return from the injured list before requiring a second stint Saturday, but he isn't dealing with anything worse than inflammation. It's not clear when he's expected to return.
